One final point from saturday

Erm Mr Gump you will have to explain yourself on this one, everyone near me respected the minutes silence, the only noise i heard was from the people still waiting to get through the gate who wouldn`t have known what was going on anyway, i only realised what was going on when the players gathered together, was it announced over the tannoy because i certainly didn`t hear it.

Slight exaggeration perhaps. But the main noise i heard was coming from the area just next to the burger bar. However, i'd like to say thanks to those who did respect it.

More like a lie then! Remind me where your turnstyle is situated again? oh i remember now right next to the burger bar.

I can understand if your club is upset by some alledged damage caused by a Canvey fan (i have commented on this before and i don`t know why they do it) but if your club has a problem then take it up with our officals don`t make up lies about our fans because believe it or not some people take what`s written on forums as fact.

Good luck with your ground improvements and your push for promotion.

Totally agree with Ronin here, all the Canvey fans that had settled in the ground respected the minutes silence, but I doubt many knew what it was for cos there was no announcement that I heard, I had an inkling it was something to do with a chap on the board that had died cos I read it in the programme. Anyone coming in the ground just prior to kick off would not have known, so steady on pal !

Have to say on this, I was in the ground 15 mins prior to k/o wandering around and heard all the Canvey fans making their usual entrance-- quite noisy-- drums-- singing etc-- a welcome sound too I can tell u. Then a couple of minutes later altho nothing was announced over the tannoy ( at least I never heard anything either), noticed the officals and players forming a sort of circle in the Middle of the pitch-- the whistle blew so all assumed it was a minutes silence for SOMETHING.

As i looked over and listened I noticed that all the Canvey fans were silent and at that point thought to myself how great those lads were, even tho a moments before were "up for it vocally" were respecting the minutes silence like everyone should. So Mr Gump please dont make out Canvey fans are not respectful-- they are and always have been when it comes to things like this.
