Saturdays Game v. Walton

How on earth can the club afford to pay Maidenhead a one off rent for this game because I'm sure as hell Windsor won't be giving any rebate (nor should they). Or has the trust pandered to Roy and given him a load of cash so we can suddenly afford luxuries like an afternoon in Maidenhead?

Walton don't have to agree to move the match and given they aren't doing so well at the moment probably want to gain any advantage they can over opposition such as in this case, getting a game played at a neutral venue. Kingstonian got caught in this way earlier this season and had to play a match at The Beveree.

Done at this late notice, how many people do the club hope to get through the gate on Saturday when there has been no previous advertisement of this until now? An absolute joke and further indication that our club is run by clowns who treat their supporters like dirt.

I think we'll be lucky to get 150 for this personally, unless there is some major notes about it in both the local papers, which on previous issues like this, I'm not holding my breath for.

I'll dig out peoples email addresses and make sure everyone is notified that I have email addresses for, more in hope than anything else.

Roy mentioned on Thursday that the game MIGHT be played at Maidenhead and that he would let us know as soon as this is confirmed. We pay Windsor on a game by game basis now so presumably would not have to pay for this match twice. I don't know why the game could not be moved to an earlier or later occasion but doubtless the club would have got slaughtered for late notification on that one as well. I'm looking forward to it - given that I was one of the people pushing for a groundshare with the magpies.

I'm looking forward to it too. As long as it's well advertised on the website, papers and radio, there's no real reason we can't get a normal sized crowd. Plus we're not exactly playing well at home or away, so I don't see why a switch would be so bad - a change of scenery might even do us good!

The ryman league told Roy to find a new ground as walton did not want to play on the sunday ! simple as that and roy had then to ensure the match could be switched to Maidenhead..it takes time to sort things out !

All the papers are informed - expect they will still get it wrong !

cheers chris s
