What time is the FA Vase draw?

Recommended Posts

That will do me, Halstead are not the best sides in a strong Eastern Counties, and we should take a number of supporters there. We have already won 7 games away from home in all comps so far, so I dont see this game as a tough obstacle, it could have been a lot tougher

Yes I saw that, but looks like their form has dropped. If you are going to have to go away, then its better to play a side near the bottom right? It wont be easy, but we should have enough to beat them I hope.

How come Kings Lynn are allowed to play thier reserve side in the Eastern counites league? They must be a strong side, and what happens if they were to be drawn together?

Looking at their website, Harefield needed a replay to beat them in the fa cup, they were also only narrowly beaten 2-1 by Mildenhall who knocked us out on saturday and they were a very strong side! So maybe not as easy as first thought

This taken from Halstead's site..
DESPITE taking a first half lead in this replay on Tuesday Halstead's FA Cup aspirations are over for another season beaten by a more physical outfit who nevertheless deserved victory on the back of some neat football. Tony Kinsella's youngsters gave a good account of themselves against a side that would certainly finish the top six of the Ridgeons League

Harefield were in good form when they met them, but have since lost form. I have heard that the Eastern counties is one of the strongest step 5
divisons.

Not very good, Gav. We played an FA Youth Cup tie there a couple of months ago. Very bumpy and a huge puddle in one goalmouth - even though it hadn't rained all day!

Sure you weren't at home Horace. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/alk.gif" alt="" />

Played them once in a pre season friendly for Heybridge last season, they were decent.

I know they had a bit of money at that time aswell. Wouldn't have thought it would be an easy passage to be honest.

No, not easy, but easier then some we could have drawn away. They are going to be looking at the draw and will prob not fancy thier chances. They have home advantage, but it does not look like they get great support (saffron waldens ave is better and thats a div below) so we have everything to win.

Should be a good game, looking forward to it already <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Gav, Kings Lynn (1st team) play in BGB Prem and are currently 2nd with 2 games in hand.
Their reserves play in the Ridgeions Prem and are normally a strong team - use many 1st teamers when they haven't had a game to get them match fit.

Thanks Paula, how are you, not chatted to you in ages.

Ok, I understand what you say, but I never know you were allowed to have two sides both at semi pro level. For eg, say Canvey had two sides, one in the Ryman prem and one in the Essex senior league, and they were drawn together in the Essex senior cup, doesnt that make a problem?

I am supprised I never know of this before, surely thats unfair for the other clubs in the Eastern counties, as they could find themselves up against players who are 2 levels higher.

Any idea how long Kings Lynn have run their reserve side as a semi pro club?
