I've been drinking in The Crown this season found the clubhouse a joke right from the start of the season, they look after the City fans in The Crown & have Prem plus.

What's going on with the Peacock?

It is a dump. Went in on a Sunday to see if they were showing whatever game was on. They still have the flat screen tvs and were showing Sky Sports News. Snotty women informed me that they do not show football anymore as it is a bar and restaurant/kitchen. She got rather upset when I pointed out that at 1:30 on a Sunday the "Restaurant" was empty (in fact the whole pub had 2 people in it). Hope it fails and goes back to being a pub.

I was in the Horn a couple of weekends ago and there was a big poster proclaiming that it's now open on Saturdays from 1pm, which never used to be the case...

 

I think we should adopt that one for pre-match drinks, they do snakebite and blacks in there as well...

 

Mind you, we don't play home games anymore do we?

Our next home game could be Boxing Day against the oiks from up the A1(M) if we don't get a home draw in the Trophy.

I used to do the Mermaid after games on a Saturday for the late kick-offs, What about the Blackies they do a 25% discount on drinks before games if your wearing a City shirt.

For a minute tonight i thought i was in the club bar. It was cold, smelt of stale beer, the person in charge was rude, and then the lights started flashing on and off. Then i realised i was on a number 17 bus terminating at Archway station.

If it takes ages to get served why don't those behind the bar pre-pull a few pints in preparation to half and full time? That's what my Nan used to do for the traders from Columbia Market.

Err - if you ask them nicely before the game they will have your drinks waiting for you at half-time!

 

(Not that you'll be invited back after your performance against Grays: making City lose 0-6 and upsetting the nice Mr Ridley.)
