Don't know if it's significant but leader Jeremy of Dartford Borough Council was at Princes Park last night showing round someone who he introduced as "John - the leader of gravesend". wooohoo!! are you next for some council support? hope so. both our teams deserve it and if Dartford have got the money from all this local growth presumably gravesned hav 2.

Hopefully that would be John Burden, who has taken a real and seemingly sincere interest in the wellfare of the club and the new ground.

He genuinely seems onside as far as the club goes, if we can get the backing of the council, we should be able to move on sooner rather than later.

well, they were having a good old natter and seemed to be getting on well. I'm ashamed to say I was one of those who didn't really believe the promises when the Council said they would build a new home for the darts. I was around when John Muckle and the Labour bunched kept on promising it whenever there wa s and election on but then'conveniently' found an excuse once it wwas over.!!!

 

Having been to the opening game and two more since I can tell you ... i not only believe - but think that it would make a good script for a hollywood movie... the leader here has built a place so good that the spirits are soaring. saw dozens and dozens of new kids turn up for training the other night!!! terrific.

 

Is gravesend a labour council or tory. jeremy is a tory so i presume from last night that your man is too?

 

It would be great for the two towns to have fantastic stadiums,
