totally agreed los, unc,as i said i do not want to get into a slanging match but it seems you want to ridicule the fact that you feel i came to the bridge only when the money turned up,this is total b*llox, there are only a few people i remember from before your time, one of those was our ex president,mr Bradshaw, whose funeral i decided to go to because i had always spoke to the man,in fact he was the one who i went to speak to to arrange my mums 60th birthday down the club (8 years ago),he told me to speak to shirley and it was arranged. You can make others think all you like that i jumped on your bandwagon 3 or 4 years ago,but the truth of the matter is that i used to go to around 10-12 home games every year from the age of about 10 but in all honesty i know that and it doesn't really bother me what you or others think.Think you know me well enough to know i couldn't really give a toss about others opinions

ha ha...morning rob....I wasn't trying to ridicule you....merely stating a few facts and I have no doubt you and others did from time to time go to the bridge but the average attendences do not lie mate and they were below 50 until 01....

that was a side issue anyway and I can't see why you are upset about last nights tiff (especially as you don't care about others opinions )....

we are all glory hunters are we not...thats acceptable and as diz says it matters little when fans come as long as they do come...

the point I was making however was this...yes you all have the right to boo players if you wish but I do not want to listen to it and I won't....that is my right...we all have them in this wonderfully liberated and democratic world....

even women can go to football matches now...

i have booed at arsenal before as i said when we lost to west ham,i felt no guilt about this because i watched certain players on £50'000 per week who were clearly not trying.

If i booed at hornchurch then i may feel guilty after the event but i haven't booed them and i have seen a few bad performances over the years.I think this should be left now as to my knowledge(or ears) no one has actually booed anyone and until i or you hear it then it shouldn't be an issue!

Equated to any position of leadership, its all about being able to accept criticism, use it wisely to build progress and momentum for future prosperity. Within the context of football there are no official formats for the average PAYING free-thinking fan to construct and deliver his criticism, so therefore he results to 'cheering' when he is pleased with what he sees, or 'booing' when he is dis-pleased. My opinion are that the 2 are intrinsically linked – I do acknowledge however that booing does little for a players confidence, but there are times IMHO when it is appropriate, if in the individual or collective fans' opinion is that the player / team / manager weren't putting in 100% (nothing less that 100% is, nor ever should be acceptable in this passionate arena).

Come on Unc, even in relation to the post at the top of this thread, where the fella gave his opinion about goal strategies……..you shot him down two-fold (1) totally dismissing his point of view, and (2) saying that he's only posted 4 times in 4 years and you didn't know who he was…he may never post, or even worse watch again cause you deemed him unwelcome… Is that really the impression you wanna communicate about Hx ? You've a great club there with the 2nd largest fanbase – embrace that, walts an' all - its invigorating

......I suppose the other issue is that you should be glad its booing. I jsut heard on Talk sport that at a non-league game in the Stockport area over the weekend, that 2foot spear from a cross-bow was fired onto the pitch - serious !!!!!!

If your watching professional football you should be allowed to show your disapproval after the final whistle.

But, we are talking about players who have jobs and probably get paid less than some of the spectators.

Can't remember the player, but last week at Arlsley one of our guys had to decline a drink because he had to get up at 4 the next morning for work. That should be enough committment for any fan.

You have a bad week ay work, you go out on a Friday and get legless. The players have to play on Saturday so don't have the same luxury.

So stick to booing the big boys and leave ours alone.
