Edgware advance to round 3 of the FA Vase

Recommended Posts

Edgware put on an excellent team performance this afternoon, to knock out Saffron Walden Town 3-0 at the White Lion Ground. The 'Wares' lead by a Richard Morton header in the first half, but it would not have been flatering if Edgware had been four goals to the good, as chances a plenty came for the home side.

Saffron Walden offered very little to be honest and the second goal put the game beyond doubt, arriving from a Junior Lewis bullet header. Futher chances were created, and the visitors found the pace of the Edgware side hard to contain. The third goal came from the penalty spot, and Lee Gardner converted the spot kick to make it 3-0.

Thats 3 goals scored in every round so far

So we are in the draw for Mondays 3rd round, hopefully we can get another home tie

well done to Ruislip Manor as well, frankly I dont want to face another SSML side in the Vase, because 1, its nice to play clubs from different divisions, and 2, it makes it tougher as both sides know the style of play.

How many rounds have Manor played to reach the 3rd round?

This was our 4th game, 4th home match and 4th game where we scored 3 goals!

The league is the most important thing for Edgware, but as we progress through each round, the Vase becomes more exciting.

Replay is this Monday night kick off 7.45 I guess (November 20th). Potton play in the Premier Division of the United Counties League - a similar level to the Premier Division of the SSML.

Maybe and I hope so but you never know in cup football. I mean Potton must have thought they had it sewn up at 3-1 with 10 minutes left against 10 men.
