Worthing vs Slough - Match Updates

"A tale of two halves. They took an immediate lead in the second half before Mason equalised with a dubious penalty. Errol then put us ahead with a drilled effort before poor marking allowed a free header for two two. Daly was then sent off for a second booking (both deserved). Then in the last minute, a massive brawl sparked by their keeper. Loads of punches and kicks thrown. All the players, subs and staff involved. Errol sent off. Their 16 & Bartley straight red. Could have any number sent off. Marsh sent off as well. Finished two two and five pm"

Thanks to Martin for the updates.

The ref was awful, the pitch was wet and everytime there was a challenge out came a card ! In the last melee the Worthing Goalie should have been red carded straight away ! Errol threw a punch so should have gone as well, but, the ref lost control of it all and their no 16 who had only been on the pitch a few minutes run about 15 yards to throw a punch ! Well done to Slough for holding on though !

Sussex's other rebel !

First half was the absolute drizzling sh1t with only the Toothless One telling about how he only had one ball, but it was massive. Second half Worthing scored early after whoever scored was allowed to dance past most of our defence. We equalised through (it was never) a penalty where Errol injured himself. Second was much better, as Alexis passed the ball to Bartley while looking out over the English Channel, Bartley's cross and Errol's finish. Worthing equalised from a freekick near the touchline and halfway line. And then it all kicked off.

A freekick was given and Errol had the ball at his feet. The Worthing keeper came bowling out and shoved him out of the way sparking the melee, everyone got involved and it seemed to be calming down until their 16 came steaming in and kicked it up a notch, clearing both benches and even getting the just sent off Steve Daly back onthe pitch to try and break it up. How Alexis seemed to stay on despite kicking everything in a red shirt while on a booking I'll never know. And the less said about the stuff AFTER the game had finished the better.

Not a wonderful game as both teams were equal in ability which in someways opened the game up!

Worthing's first came whilst Slough were still waking up from half time

Soft penalty, but we will take it, with Lee Mason converting a very well taken kick top right and hard.

Good build up for our second from a well laid off pass by allexis to Bartley who put it in for Errol to score

The equaliser was from a free kick as stated.

Daly correctly was sent off but noting malicious

Then the game livened up - the keeper manhandled barts? and a fight kicked off with pleanty of punches and some kicking from both sides. The ref and officals interveaned and started to identify the culprits when red 16 ran up the pitch to thump a slough player and this lead to an even larger fight with the playing staff coming on as well!!!!

After several mins the two sides parted and the ref then gave the cards out as stated above.

the match restarted and about 14 mins of extra time were played with the game finisihng at 5.

On the way out there was a further "discussion"!!!! Ask Sue about the details!

£8 of true non-leauge value!!!
