what are peoples thoughts on thursday night games. i personally think its bollox. does anyone else think its a bit weird playing on a thursday?

it's a load of bollox! cut all these mickey mouse cups leaving the fa cup,fa vase, league cup knock out,essex senior cup and might be gordon brasted(played between the league and league cup winners.that's it! [****!!****] the thameside,floodlight,east anglian,etc.too many games for amateur players and they don't recover well in between.professionals moan about playing every 3 days,think about our lot that have to work all day..(ehm not all of them,smallsy for example <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />)

im not with you on that point coach the more games the better mate.

 

healesy agree it better then training but we trained tuesday so no real gain mate.

 

thursday nights are a load of bollox and i dont think APSA should be allowed to do it. we lost to them in extratime of the GB first round and had a massive league game on the sat vs southend manor which we lost.

 

thursday nights should be training and not a match.

its to do with london apsas ground why they play thursday but i dont see why they cant play tues or wed. fcking annoying.

yeah,the non-league follows the FA guidelines....you play sat,tue and sat.3 games in 7 days and then moan about overuse injuries.we are only in mid november and played already 27 games!that's [****!!****] ridicolous! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />it's okay for a gk like you but not for an outfield player <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

mate so if you lose saturday at home to concord you'll blame playing thursday night as to the reason you got beat.

im not making excuses i just think its bollox that we have had to go down there twice on a thursday night. its just a sh*t night to play football. i would say the same thing if we had won the game.

its not really that much different to playing Saturday, then Tuesday...

 

barkingside have to play Saturday then Monday's...

 

I agree though small-dogg, Thursday's are training nights...

think the athletics club/team whatever use the track monday to wednesday.
may have improved the game last night with a few javalins being thrown onto the pitch <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/pipe.gif" alt="" />
