You was right,a woman should never officiate another game of mens football,the one we had last night was truly shocking,mind you the ref was a complete and utter shambles as well.Missed a blatant penalty for us and gave ridiculous decisions all night!!!

ain't got a problem with women watching the game etc.my mum has watched arsenal for 55 years but even she cringes when she hears there is a woman linesman

bollox,the only reason they do it is because of politically correct numpties like yourself.If they want to do it there are plenty of womens games where they can officiate.I have never seen a woman official have a good game,she had no comprehension of the off side rule and looked completly out of her league,but because we have to have a woman linesman or ref every now and then she gets the nod.Sounds to me like the same situation as is in S.African sports at the moment that you have to have someone playing who is black or of mixed race even if they aren't good enough!

Get with the program mate, Im not being PC just realistic.

If women could not officiate a game due to their gender then fair play dont let them into the game, but its not the case.

Male Refs have often made mistakes, what do you blame that on their gender?

Refs will make mistakes but to blame the gender is pathetic.

I like Mike Newells stance on the agents but this just seems a cop out because his team lost 3-2

There is a very good reason why women should not get involved in officiating at football matches. Harry Enfield explained it very well in a sketch called "Women - Know Your Place". It has something to do with the areas of the brain and women not having the capacity to handle complex thought processes - like interpreting the offside law.

This subject was discussed in a phone in on Talk Sport on Monday. One guy rang in to say that he is a qualified ref and that he had to pass fitness tests to qualify. These tests are tough but the targets are reduced for women. Now if a woman is going to ref a womens' game then that's fine but if they are going to ref the faster mens' game then surely they should have the same assessments as male refs!

i just don't believe women understand the game the same way as we do,most of us have played at some sort of level,most women haven't.Fact!!!

It is only now that some have started playing,when you take a bird to the football all they go on about is how nice a player looks in his shorts.If you have a women ref,she will invariably be leniant on a dashing young buck should he give her the eye after elbowing an opponent and because of this gay refs should not be allowed as well!!!
