We did well mate, deserved to take it to extra time just couldnt find the finish to match some good play.

They were well happy with the win, "well done lads great win" where as we were disappointed to lose against a side two levels above us, albeit struggling at that level.

Ash bubble has not burst but it has been deflated very slightly.

2 goals inside 5 mins is all Chertsey had.

Freekick on edge of box (never a freekick).

Keeper lobbed brilliantly from 25 yds.

Had 4 good chances 1st half-keeper had a blinder.

2nd half-Hit the post twice...a miss from 6 yds (only keeper to beat)... and a missed penalty.

Totally battered em 2nd half.

You just know when its not to be....

A bad week for Ash but still playing well and we go into the Vase game still confident of a result.

that was a one off JJ as our gaffers acknoledge my footballing ability and it dont suit my game to play a team full of meatheads on a cack pitch..

Altough it may well happen again after my dismal showing against sandhurst...hha that was proper bite up... anyway ash.. the new Egham.. once you get out of that winning run mate its hard to get back into it... The team you have in the next round beat us.. they are like you lot organised and meatheads.. reckon you'll beat them though...

by the way JJ wouldn't accept my offer of a beer afetr the game.. That is proper BTK hey chaps.. HAHAH

I am sad to say he doesnt come to the games anymore. There was a big report on him in the local paper and he mentioned he was tired of football and all the diving and cheating that goes on. He also mentioned he was cheesed off with the poor referees in the comb counties.

I will say that he used to be a great supporter of ASH united and a loyal fan. It is a shame that he no longer attends. I remember when Ash played Wimbledon and he tried to outsing the Wimbledon fans by himself.

I played in the match at their place when they 1st joined the combined counties.
3500 AFC Wimbledon fans cheering their team on and 1 Ash fan.
He had to be surrounded by marshalls as the wombles fans were getting out shouted by him and they were getting pixxed off.
He is an absolute legend and will hopefully come back one day.
