To be honest i think that some people would be a bit more respectful than towards a male. But then others would go over the top because she was female.

We do have a female ref/assistant ref in the ESL or did have last season.

 

Haven't seen her so far this season but I have to say that she was no better and no worse than most refs we have had over the last few seasons.

 

In her defence (if she needs defending) she was, to my way of thinking, more consistent and less obviously there over the whole period of the game than a lot of her male counterparts.
