Score prediction for this weekend?

Recommended Posts

I have just been reading through your forum and I am pleased to see you all appear very friendly unlike some of the other clubs I have registered to.

I would therefore like to start a thread on the score prediction for the weekend. Of course I shall have to go for an Oxford Utd win of 2 - 1 but I have not yet had chance to study your team stats so might have to revise that later in the week,

How does everyone else feel about it, are you the team to finally beat us in the league - I am ignoring the Wycombe result as that was the FA Cup.

You obviously haven't read a lot on here or been around for very long.

The past three games we have played poorly but I don't think it is as bad as first thought. The Chelmsford game I think we underestimated them, the Morecambe game nobody deserved to win and I think we started off as the better and the Cambridge game was a case of us again underestimating them as we played them a month ago off the park and were the better team yet on Saturday they were a very different prospect.

If both teams play to their strengths saturday will be a cracking match, although I haven't seen you play yet I have heard good things and nobody gets to be top of the table by mistake. I think after Saturdays result people were predicting a malling but you don't seem to put teams away like you should. Having lost your first game of the season on Saturday, I hope, has started the snow ball effect and will result in us coming away with a 2-0 victory and all three points.

Anyone know what if the two teams have played before and if so what is the score? I think I've seen a cup programme on ebay between the two sides.

You would think that somebody would put this sort of information on a website

This doesn't yet include the matches when Oxford were known as Headington United.

To CG:-

Attention CG..."you all appear very friendly"....but you won't read this as you are using the "more mature" forum !!

There is a phrase that comes to mind which includes the words Nose, Face, Spite & Cutting.....hmmmmm !!

To KNE :-

The glass is always half full as far as I am concerned, but I am not sure why, as it should be always full up !

Anyway, I reckon we do well against the better sides...so a 2-1 GNFC win for me !! Strongbow for all !!

I love you all !

Cheers,

Haven't gone away Hirsty, I just cannot be bothered to get into any more slanging matches or abusive pm's.

You were not supposed to remember that !!

I doubt we will do that again although we have put 5 past 2 teams this season and only once conceded 2 goals in any one game.

We let Wycombe win because they had no sense of humour on their boards, one person continually tried to stir up trouble which was so stupid as the vast majority of us just want to see a good game of footy and have a laugh with the opposition fans. Its only a game after all. So I will not mention the other results like:

17-02-1962 Away Won 6-0

08-04-1961 Home Won 8-2

Oh, I just did

Can I just add that your stats don't add up to much, you haven't visited Stonebridge Road yet.

You won't let us win, we'll just do it anyway.

Good luck and may the best team (in red) win.
