EDGWARE TOWN

Kentish Town were secretly hoping to win this award for October as we were also unbeaten and were involved in the game of the SSML season so far at 'the mighty' Brimsdown Rovers.

Well, as Edgware won the PREMIER DIV award, you may still have won Div 1?

You'll just have to settle for winning Quote of the Month again! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

You MUST include this one

:Phil Rolt..you'll be blaming him for the war in Iraq next and I don't see why you don't just give the poor bloke a break and let him get on with the excellent job he's doing.

HTFCew - Brimsdown Rovers fluked the team of September award, it's not divisional as Horace seems to think and is done overall, again we fully expected to win it as we had won every game other than the Challenge Trophy defeat at Biggleswade United and that was the result of the round only losing 3-2 with our Reserves and giving Biggleswade the game of their lives as RobbieO confirmed.

Wouldn't worry about the SSML's Team of the Month Award, to be honest. In 2004/5 we won a quadruple which included the Premier Division title and Premier Division Cup. Not only did we not win a monthly award until April, but we didn't receive a single vote from any management committee member until then either. I think the award could be taken more seriously if it was judged on by a panel of people who knew what they were talking about.

I had never heard of thse awards and merely accepted that Oracle had used the word "premier" in his description. Hold my hands up totally for a wrong assumption (there, see Rhodes, it's easy!)

Well deserved, we won 4 out of 5 league games away from home, and beat the league leaders at the time and Leverstock in the cup <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

It's nice to win awards <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Our reserves travelled to Wembley in the Middlesex Senior Cup tonight and BEAT their first team 1-0. Makes your "result of the round" pale into insignificance really, doesn't it?

Gavin, good result tonight. Hope you've softened them up for Friday evening for us!

Yeah we played very well, and they had their full side out! How come that Potters Bar did not as you say field a strong side? Thats a good win, as Wembley are doing very well in the CCL, but then again the standard of that league is not supposed to be as good as the SSML

This was an ideal game to have a look at the reserve players and see if they can make the step up to first team competition. Also wanted to rest most of the first team squad with a Ryman League game on Friday night. Five players made their first team debuts and only three regular first team starters began this game - and two of those were only signed in the last couple of weeks and have only played five times for the club between them. The rest were either reserves or first team squad fringe players.
