That Full-time tag again....

Williamm, Billericay is not 'my' club, it was in place before I joined and it will be their long after I have gone, without supporters a club will cease to exist.

This subject has been dealt with many times and anyone who follows our club or lives locally, or is a regular reader and seeker of non league football news in our area knows we are not full time.

no one accused you of trying to undermined billericay town fc, neither did anyone get aggressive re this subject, yes there was a minimal amount of aggression in some of the posts, but they were between certain individuals who regularly take pot shots at each other, the non-league tag neither angers nor irritates anyone at Billericay, it does however give a good excuse to start or continue a thread, and this works for both the Billericay Town supporter and its rivals.

I don't need a newspaper article to back up what I say, and I'm sure you wouldn;'t want to tell us that everything that was reported in the echo two and a half years ago was 100% accurate and is still relevant today??.

The the Echo miss quotes our club and Manager almost every week.

So lets take this thread for what it is, a load of old tosh, but a good bantering subject, and not get too serious over triviality. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

So the likes of Minton etc.. have other incomes as well? Must be rolling in it!

Fishing now rick?

No Minton does not appear to be rolling in it. If you consider driving around in a clapped out peugeot 'rolling' in it. Some are professionals and have big cars from rich families, and some are not....just like your part time players.

And before you say it, yes, I have no doubt they are on quite a lot to have dropped two divisions... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Why is it that when people join in and contribute and say perhaps what certain people don't want to hear the response is aggressive and we are accused of trying to undermind your club or are being critical.

wow..what do you think its like when your a friendly sort of chappie from Chelmsford and you post on here.............. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

You really should take me at face value LF. I'm not fishing, but it's relevant to this thread isn't it. If some of your ex-connie players are on "quite a lot" (your words) do they need other employment, and if not, does that make them "full time"?

I don't know the answers and I'm not saying it's good, bad or indifferent one way or t'other. Just interested, that's all.

Ok fair comment. Some appear to have good jobs, some appear to have wealthy families and turn up in expensive cars. Nothing like Jamie Richards who turned up in a brand new personalised plated Hummer!!!

Ben Chenery, someone said is a manager of a line of Estate Agents. Nice guy to speak too. His family turn up to watch him play. All I understand ( apart from the ones in full time education) have other jobs.

The youngsters are at College full time.

Only the individual/club will ever know the wage bill, but I expect those from the Conference would have only come with Jeff on certain expectations. All within his players budget set by the CCFC Board...and not by Jeff King.

Thanks for that full answer LF (I do hate all this niceness!).

So we're both part-time teams. That's settled. Now who can we pick on who isn't <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

But, he seems a nice chap on here, who didn't need choking off by his own fans to be honest.......

Take a scan back through williamms posts LF. You'll see he's not a 'ricay supporter. Perhaps my remark about him coming from Chelmsford now makes more sense?

I'm sure Gazza's probably got a lot better things to do with his time than mess around on here. I'm starting to feel a bit guilty about the amount of time I've been on here rather than working to-day. Wait a minute, OK, the guilts passed <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

A rather rushed and agitated response i sense there TC.
I only produced the newspaper quotes to explain to those who appeared confused where the tag came from.

No harm intended and i am sure non caused.

No harm at all williamm, do you often trawl through old newspapers when confused?

Isn't Linda Lusadi lovely.. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

The internet is a wonderful tool, actually saves you having to trawl through old newspapers.

However it appeared to me that it was the Billericay fans among others who were confused as to where the full time tag came from. Now we all know and you have corrected the story so hopefully between us we have put this one to bed.
