I think there are issues in society, mainly around the brigade of politically correct pillocks who frown upon the discipline of young children and, therefore, leave the legacy of a youth culture that is indisciplined, disrespectful and growing more out of control every day.

However, I don't think the "a woman's place is in the home" debate has any bearing whatsoever on how things are in modern society.

Good point, if I stepped out of line when I was my children's age I would have got a good hiding and learned from it, now fathers aren't even allowed to give their kids a clip round the ear which is part of the problem of society today. I think Mike Newell was simply hinting at a 'Woman's place is in the home' as opposed to on a football pitch carrying a whistle or a flag and I can see where he was coming from, it's a shame he was hung out to dry for his comments, which I'm sure were heat of the moment and somewhat tongue in cheek, as I think he's a pretty genuine down to earth guy.

3praise - How do you mean, I'm not with you although that's nothing new. If it's about being a genuine down to earth guy then yes, that's me all over although if you know me, as you continually claim to do, then you will already know this to be true. I find it a shame that the likes of you and Tubbsy8 have been systematically brainwashed by 'Sugar' and sad that he has to resort to such devious tactics, he scared my poor Website technician half to death by threatening legal action against him which is his trademark and people fall for it. Incidentally what occuring with the Haringey Website these days, the News page doesn't seem to have been updated since 21 August and there must be people out there chomping at the bit to find out what Tommy Catania has for his breakfast particularly now he is a tv celebrity.

Not brainwashed, simply a decent judge of character. As I have said before. Ask yourself why you are the only one with this view!

Tubbsy8 - I believe we have met on a number of occasions both at Station Road and Coles Park, did I seem such an evil monster to you. If you are a decent judge of character then, with respect, I'm a Dutchman, I say again that you have been totally brainwashed, David Koresh and Charles Manson style.

Very funny but Tubbsy8's post is an interesting one, firstly are you sure our paths haven't crossed, doesn't your son play, or used to play, for St Margaretsbury and weren't you present on a couple of occasions last season when Haringey's First Team and Reserves played at Station Road. To refresh your memory although you beat 'us' it was the night Takumi Ake had a blinder of Bobby Moore v Brazil and Beckham v Greece proportions and your players queued up to a man to shake his hand after the proceedings. Secondly as you appear to be a Solicitor or Magistrate it is even more surprising that you cannot see through 'Sugar' and he has taken you, perhaps that's why justice is so rarely done in this day and age and people are getting away with murder in the Courts.

Tubbsy8 - You said that you judge characters for a living so if you're not a solicitor or a magistrate what is your line of work unless, as you say, we make it into a game and the winner gets some sort of prize although would you admit to it when someone hits the nail on the head.
