An excellent win, wish I went to that one rather than the crap I endured at KR (I really shouldn't post just after a defeat!!).

At least The 61 result makes up for it a bit, and we are at the heady heights of fifth <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> While winning anthing in the league is probably beyond us as Crawley Green and AFC Dunstable are going to be hard to stop (if only they would have been promoted!) it would be great to finish in the top 6, also a good cup run wouldn't go amiss, we are in the Anagrams Record Trophy next week followed by the Beds Senior Trophy, though both matches are very hard.

Should we fail to win through them, then there is always the Challenge Trophy <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Sounds like a good game at Ruislip Lato, and a much needed win. Having a look at the table I'm a bit surprised you are down in 14th, but as its quite close then a few wins will see you move up the table.

We need to get some consistency to our game...I'd prefer a string of scappy 1-0 wins to these goal feasts.

 

Any idea on a date for the Challenge Trophy game AWK?

As entertaining as it is to see high scoring games it is also infuriating to drop points from sloppy defending. If you do find someone to sort your defence out then please send him down to Kenilworth Road where he may be able to tell our defence how to defend straight foward set pieces!

 

No idea about the Challenge Trophy match yet, to be honest I'm finding it increasingly annoying with regards to future fixtures, I either can't find them or if I can they are then changed at the last minute.

 

All I know is we are involved in cup competitions over the next couple of weeks so it won't be on the next two Saturdays, I wouldn't be surprised if the match is switched to Ruislip and it is played midweek though.

Folks - Thanks for not rubbing it in (yet) over today's result at Chalk Lane, I expected to come on here and it would be all over the board like a rash although, having said that, one person has predictably touched on our defeat. It was always going to be a tough match Rhodes, Cockfosters are in good form at the moment, and on their website it says they won 4-3 at Harefield midweek in the South Midlands Floodlit Cup which is some result, so I felt could have gone either way (hence why I went for a draw)

 

Im sure you will bounce back though Rhodes, and I fancy you for the three points at Buckingham Ath next week, but the disappointing thing for you must be dropping the points to your rivals at the top.
