We may not it may go the other way but I just think it's going to be a long hard winter.

It was quite warm today....had a couple of tinnies in the garden at lunchtime ! I think it will be quite a mild winter, not bitter at all !!

Cheers,

why change the team? if it aint broke dont fix it. why play 442? the team has changed too much and shows what a good job was done early season. need to get back to the standard shown in the grays game, working hard, closing down fast, pass and move football to feet. best team available should start in 352 formation as most teams dont know how to play against it. quite a few injuries now showing up so interesting days ahead

True, but because we played it every match teams who we were playing against started to combat it by also playing 5 in midfield, i.e at Chelmsford, who usually play 4-4-2, played 4-5-1.

In that respect, I can see why Daishy has played about with the formation - not just to combat injuries (e.g. Bollers meant the attacking presence in midfield was not being played by those he felt the best team selected) but to confuse the opposition managers 'master plan'.

I refer you to my earlier comments regarding how the changes in personnel of late are probably more significant than the change of formation.

One cannot deny that the players we have fit better into a 4-4-2 in theory than into a 3-5-2.

Well done for keeping up your spirits Hirsty. If the winter goes how I suspect we're going to need the optimists.

Do I qualify for a reserved seat for being an optomist ? as by the time I leave the bar at 2.55 ( and avail myself of the facilities ) then I have to squeeze in somewhere ! ( so to speak !)

Always look on the bright side of life !!

Slarti, compared to me everyone's a good looking bloke, even you. Don't forget we do have some listeners who are - I know you will find this hard to believe - [color:"red"]WOMEN ! FACT(c 2004 David Brent), especially among Ross's chums in Canada and the [color:"red"] USA . I know cos his Mum told me - and she listens too, with all the family kitted out in their GNFC shirts.

I hope the news next Saturday will be better than yesterday when I cover the Oxford game.
