Unc has taken his seat in the brand new 300 seater stand at Harlow. It's very chilly and overcast. There is a little blue sky but its disappearing fast. The new £3m ground is very nice but (sadly for the travelling Urchins) the bar is very small. The pitch looks in very good condition, an excellent playing surface nicely cut into squares. Nice welcome by the Harlow officials. A good game in prospect but a little while to go before the ground fills up. Team line up in about 15 mins.

Players are late out on to the pitch. Unc reports that Harlow were hoping for 500 today but at the moment the crowd is about half that. Urchins number a good 150. They have a collapsable tunnel which the players run along to get to the pitch. Nice touch. The new tannoy system sounds quite loud. The new ground is called "Barrows Farm".

UPDATE:-

 

Game has set off at a fast and furious pace. Most of the play is in midfield. Plenty of banter between about 30 or 40 Harlow fans and the Urchin Army. It's a good atmosphere. Pitch seems a little slippy after the overnight rain.
