Thanks AWK. Have to confess that I calculated them myself, from data on the Mitoo site. I don't have direct access to their database.


Good work Horace, do you use a program for the form tables or do you work them out yourself?

Incidently Gavin I noticed that you can buy the Enfield Town vs Edgware Town programme on Ebay for the forthcoming Middlesex Senior Cup Tie, I doubt it will be much interest to you as you will probably be going and buy your own copy on the day, but I'd though I would mention it anyway.

I thought you may have used Excel or an applet, but doing all the hard work yourself makes it all the more impressive. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/excited.gif" alt="" />

I thought it looked Excelesque (no that's probably not a word), I use Excel for league tables, put in the results and it works it out for you which is very handy <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I also use an applet which works out form guides, runs, attendances etc which is a hell of a lot easier than doing by hand which is what I use to do.

What IS the worst mistake you've made AWK?

I think mine is probably forgetting to change the name of the away team on the team sheet. Ware weren't very happy to be called Clapton - and it made the local paper as gaffe of the year in their new year sports rundown!

An easy mistake to make, I've not done it for an opposition team, but I have forgotten to change the ref before. Talking of teamsheets I once landed up with only ten players on the 61 team and I still have no idea how I managed it!!!

 

I have a tendancy to do annoying little mistakes, I can read it 20 times on the computer and see nothing wrong, print it out and bang I can see it straight away!!!

My big frustration is when an official is changed at the eleventh hour and the programme is all printed up. We go out of our way to give a welcome message to all the three officials in the narrative which virtually tells you what they have for breakfast so when one cries off, as happened with our last home game, it's like the end of the World.

but if you name the officials on the same page as the team line-ups, which you have deliberately hidden, what does it matter?
