harlow 1-1 bowers harlow win 3-2 on pens

allegedly harlow made just 2 changes from the side that lost 1-0 to enfield town saturday and were good coming forward.

we missed a penalty in the first 5 minutes from luke moore.

we didnt have a recognised stiker on the pitch as all were out injured, awol or too cold!!

after the penalty miss they had us under the cosh slighty and went 1-0 up with a rebounded effort.

fair play to the lads they reacted well and within a few minutes we were level after a bobby hardy cross was headed in by luke moore redeeming himself.

chances to both sides throughout the 90 minutes although harlow had the better of them.

in extra time we did venture into there half still looking to snatch it rather then settle for penalties but i think when it went to pens we were the happier of the 2 sides.

unfortunately we missed 3 out of 5 penalties and were eliminated.

choked cos really wanted to play someone like hornchurch, maldon in the next round.

Unlucky mate, Talede said they were the worst penalties he's ever seen. Said you stopped one though, nice one!

Where was Dean Allen, Reevo & Peter the Pole if there were no recognised forwards.

i forgot to mention...

their new ground is the absolute bollox. pitch was so flat and sexy. i had pure roddage in the warm up and was tempted to boss a cheeky w*nk.

the people there were really friendly and welcoming holding doors open for you etc.

however i did get w@nkered off by someone in the crowd

our reserves do well to be fair to them. we took their game at maldon saturday and lost

unlike most reserve teams they have a somewhat settled side as doyley lets them do their thing as much as he can.

there would have been no first team/fringies in the reserves last night as we (as you so rightly say) were a little thin on the ground.
