all refs

should have at least played at the lower end of semi pro football, i have only ever come across 1 ref that was any good. they all seem to see the game in another world, and they can never tell what is intentional ,and what is an accident, i mean ,any true footballer can tell when a player is really trying to hurt another, although nobody admits to it, it does happen.

They dont seem to be sports orientated, and most of all, the just cant read the game, thats the biggest problem, how many times has a ref ruined a perfectly good game of football by dodgy decisions inciting the players, and becoming the main focus of the game, when a good ref you hardly notice him because he is in control, and not trying to abuse his power without having any real football knowledge! ! ! ! ! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />

what we have to realise is no matter how much the ref fcks up we need them to play the game. they make mistakes but so do players. what players want to be refs? not many.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Sorry but cannot agree fella.I was involved as a coach in the ESL a few years back and made a complete kernob of myself and got sent from the dugout 3 times in 1 season.We all know the standard in the league is poor but in the main teams who derserve to win games more often than not do so.Are we saying that it is ok for players/coaches to make mistakes and have bad games but if a ref does,he is branded a cheat,not a poor ref.The are decent refs and minging refs as their are players.

true, but difference with a bad player and a bad ref is, a player can get subbed, or left on the bench, but when youve got a bad ref, youve got him all game.

You can ref and not be noticed, why would a player care if he makes a bad tackle when you ref? He's not going to get reported, and as such your own players cannot moan when you dont have anything other than a whsitle. You have to remember that the refs are being assessed and are being paid to uphold and enforce the laws of the game. I suggest that your grievance is with the interpretation and vision of referees. I can tell you that every game is treated individually, and not one ref or assistant ref on this league is anything other than 100% honest.

i never doubted your honesty.i might question some technical things like..why one player with noose bleedings gets treated on the pitch and ours has to come off, playing 4 minutes with 10 players?they should be treated both off the pitch,so the rules say... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />or we take a free kick,hit the cross bar and bounce on the line but nobody shouts for a goal because we are not barking with 60 away supporters calling for the referee to give the goal at a crucial time for them,we are hullbridge and therefore we don't try to influence the referee <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />.since time began,if there is a 50-50 call you can be sure the team that is higher up the table or with a bigger profile is gonna get it,and i have seen this happening quite a few times this year.when some of your colleagues says we don't get any problems with hullbridge or some lower teams it's because we make a great effort in restraining ourselves,like at barkingside with an inept referee that didn't give us a blatant penalty with the score at 0-0!the best referee is the one that respects both set of players and let the game flowing without trying to play the main protagonist part.meditate,meditate <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

I always think you do well big man and you get involved with the banter which makes the game more enjoyable. BUT some of the refs we have had this year have been awful and some of their performances are very bias against us. Two prime examples are when we played Romford it was the Romford fans who said he was being bias in their favour and then when we played Hullbridge a few weeks back Coahey posted on here saying how the ref was against us. Thats not us complaining but other clubs defending us.
