Harefield United

Recommended Posts

The Harefield United Chairman has started the clubs appeal and can be read on the clubs web site.

www.Harefieldunited.co.uk

This could go on for some time as the FA and maybe uefa could be forced to deal with the matter, now matbe Edgware are not only sweating on gaining back the points but could also lose a windfall of money from the bumper gate they would expect and TV and radio rights, they obviously would share.....

Maybe we should start a petition and media campaign to assist Harefield and the future sanity of football?

"sweating on getting back the points" ? you need to get your information correct before you come on here sprouting crap. We NEVER had any points from the original game.

It's Harefield who have lost the 3pts, and obvioulsy as their form since has gone down the draiin they are in despertate need of gaining back the 3pts. That would still leave well of the leading pack.

They can appeal all they like, but we will see them at the WLG when the league match is played again.

More crap, who said Edgware are going to get a bumper crowd? and why would Edgware have to share any revenue they made from staging the game? It's a league match NOT a cup match, Harefield wont get a penny from any game being re played.

Why's that then Neturalfan? because you dont think the League will allow the game to be replayed?

The whole point of the appeal process is to allow an incorrect decision to be overturned. I think once the relevent football authorities realise the ramifications of this judgement they will find in Harefields favour.

The people that are really going to suffer are the league and relevent FA administrators that will have to process a deluge of appeals and re-appeals.

Then there will be the extra pressure on the referees to get every decision correct. I suspect it could even lead to potential new referee's not coming into the sport and current ones leaving. I think they are struggling to recruit enough referees as it is.

Sorry but thats rubbish, if they overturn the deccison, Edgware would probabally re appeal. It was obvious that Harefield were going to appeal, I am supprised its taken them this long, as I said, resutls have been dreadful for them since, and I am sure their chairman wants to do all he can to get back the 3pts.

As for this stopping people becoming refs, thats just rubbish and you know it.

You also forget that this has happened before in a world cup match and UEFA stood by their decison to replay the match

Just a point here Gavin

I wonder if you would be so sure about this appeal if you was a Harefield Fan?
Surely you can see there point of view here?

....

Of course I can see their point of view, and I have said on here before that they have been hard done by, but the REF broke the law, so if Harefield have any grivences it should be with Mr Tweed, NOT with Edgware or the SSML of the FA

No point in continuing 'discussion' with such blinkered one dimensional views!
