Erratic.

 

Had a purple patch in September with straight wins against Slough, Ramsgate, Borehamwood, Chelmsford & Leyton which accounts for 15 of their 24 points. Then lost to W&H 5-1 & Harrow 4-1 followed by a 1-1 home draw against ETU. Beat Ashford 2-1 in their last League game.

 

Also gone out of League Cup (Walton Casuals) & Trophy (Maidenhead) recently.

Still cannot underestimate them. Our form over the past three weeks has been fantastic but I would be a lot more comfortable when we have put together a string of results over the next couple of weeks...

 

Call me cautious but as proved this season, we are masters of tripping ourselves up. I know we have the players, the talent and now, certainly the confiedence and there can be no excuses for not pushing on in the league but I will just take each game as it comes and look to ourselves and not to the other teams form (Slough being too fresh in my memory).

I agree with that. This will be an extremely difficult match. Our players will need to (this time) come outta the blocks quicker and wiser than Folkestone. Who knows we may even this Saturday be the ones with a cushion (2-0) lead instead of us having to do it the hard way. Surely the law of averages must point toward us this time <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Margate & Tonbridge both have tough games against H&R and Borehamwood. With a good win to-day we'd be on equal points with Chelmo & possibly Angels, and an outside chance of 7th place I think (although that'd require a lot of goals going in the right holes!).
