Where have I heard that complaint before??? Oh yes in Margate.

With so many false dawns at Hartsdown Park feel for you lot and if there is any help we could give you ask and we will see what we can do.

We have a common enermy in the form of Councils who see our existance as a hinderance and fail to realise they are there to serve all the community not just their inflated egos

The labour party had in the region of 30 million in the back pocket to re furbish and replave montem as it was reaching the end of the line...but the present council have spent it all !

The plan maybe still to include STFC in a regeneration of the montem site ( one option)

I feel we will turn the corner if we work together to get rid of the shower at the town hall and by fighting them in the elections will help..therefore come may 2007...every single slough supporters will have the chance to help us canvas and put candidates into the local election to ensure this will happen..this maybe our last chance ....

Whilst I don't agree with much of what the current councillors have done, particularly towards the prevention of the development of the club, I don't believe jumping into bed with Labour will help, nor will calling the current administration a shower. Labour may have had this and that, but what actions actually took place?

We need to be working with all parties to ensure that whoever is in power will be able to help us, come what may.

why should it... ??? come back and haunt us ..Dartford seamed to buck that trend ...maybe we should, play outside the borough at wexham park...or in a south bucks area...

then it would not matter about slough council who ever is in power...

????

I'm a lifelong Labour supporter but up until this shower came in didn't the Labour group have control of SBC for nearly two decades. And what exactly did they leave us with? Wexham Park which the club lost when they went into administration leaving the club in the perilous position of being at the mercy of Mayfair. Had they wanted to safeguard our position at the park they would not have allowed the option to purchase the freehold for 300k. But that is history.

IF labour get in, are they going to find some land - where is big enough for the club that will not cause objections from locals? This question has been a stumbling block from day one and I have yet to hear of one viable location to be named.

Secondly who is going to stump up the cash to purchase the land and then build a ground? Any one got £6 million (Dartfords cost)in their back pocket? As any council will not be digging that deep into council tax payers money! Even with sports foundation support it will need to be match funded so who has raised £3 million? I doubt that the Trust has even 1% of the £3 million.

These comments may seem negative but are the reality of our situation.

but we have a chairman who's going to pull the plug if Labour doesn't get in come May. Am I the only one who sees this as a disaster waiting to happen? Also, does Deaner actually have any money to fund the stadium and his pie-in-the-sky dreams of a mega hotel and casino, which incidentally would shot down at the planning stage as Slough doesn't need them, which is the only way he can see to make money off of the club? After all, his big time plans for Oxford United and Carlisle worked. Oh wait, they didn't...
