Team for Saturday

Recommended Posts

Hi Rob.

Is that 'simply' your forecast or is that for real from a 'highly-placed source'?

If it's the latter, Colin obviously comes on here and has carefully considered my suggestion on the 'I reckon' thread. What he doesn't know is that I don't know anything about football, but I do know that, at the end of the day, and to be fair, first and second half, Damian 'Damo' 'Batty' Batt is a class act. He could contact me direct if he wants any more help. I'll waive my usual fee - "Doin' it for The City" etc.

Where is Ram 'Ram' Marwa, by the way?

A trifle negative, Rob. We'll have none of that around here.

You might do better on the message forum thingy of the Official SACFC web-site. I hear that they are a right bunch of whingers and whiners, moaners and groaners over there. They cost this club £20,000 a year, these mischief-makers. Trash, that's what it is. Trash.

I refuse to go on there now. These people can wallow on their own in their cess-pit of boot-scrapings as far as I am concerned.

Perks;

Seeby
Theobald
Elphick (where was he Saturday?)
Flynn

Batt the elder
Cracknell
Davis
Walshe

Clarke
Hakim

subs: Martin B, Martin S, Okounghae, Batt the younger, Benyon (if he's still here)/Hann.

Looks good to me Rob given the players we have. Might try Clarke in midfield for Cracknell and S.Martin up front but it's all nip and tuck. (although we really need a "Mr.Nasty type" player in midfield)

Also think that young Benyon who cannot be faulted for effort is not the final answer to giving Hakim the help he needs up front.

We need a Mr Nasty in midfield to kick Tom 'Tom' Davis, Ram 'Ram' Marwa, Dean 'Jacobs Cream' Cracknell and Matt 'Matty' Hann up the backside and get 'em to start delivering.

Don't talk tp me about 'turning games'. Matt 'Matty' Hann hasn't had a good game since February. Past reputations count for nothing when we are err.. er.... in the lower reaches of the League. They're only as good as their next game.

Get out there and get on with it.

No, not Nick. I wonder if he is too nice.

A thought occurred to me. There was a game about six weeks ago when Colin selected Paul 'Hackers' Hakim to play wide on the right side of midfield. Hakkers wasn't happy about that from the very start - it's a football thing - but he brought his silky skills and pace to that side of the Park, first half, at the end of the day, to be fair.

Now there's a thought while the rest of the midfield aren't, and don't look like performing.

If you're reading this Colin, for Heaven's sake stick to 4-4-2. And stop being so nice to these people. Start throwing tea-cups around. The melamine display board thingy. Chairs. Anything. Get 'em to perform.

re: benyon

well maybe if some people got on the end of his passes it might be the answer

Spot on Jill. I do sometimes wonder how many people on here are watching the match (or even go to it for that matter). Benyon is a very decent player and works a lot harder than a few others I could name.

As for a 'Dave Mackay', spot on again, mate.

I always saw you as more of the Gary Neville type of player, Maller old chap.

What we need is a Jon Daly or Paul Turner... * dons tin hat and prepares to duck! *

Neville I you sure I'm much better looking of course
Turns and JD they certainly liked a tackle, but in a 50-50 no contest I would have mashed the pair of them
