See this player is listed, with photo on your 1st Team squad on yoursite. Lokkslike he hasn't played for you in the 1st team this season. Is he any good ? A little bird told me he could be on his way to us on loan.

Decent enough player-young and still learning.

With coaching he could do quite well, and does need regular football-held his own in Ryman last season, but nothing really special yet.

We do have better players than him though at present.

Isn't that weird !! Johns Kibys highly rates Lawrence as one of the best players in the squad, where as others don't rate him at all

So many fans

So many different opinions

I do rate Lawrence but he would not be in my top 10 players, unfortunately for Lawrence the only opinion that counts is trottys

In fairness, i think alot of supporters were clamouring for Yiga to stay with MFC.

We did see him as 'the next big thing'.

You have to say, ther was not much choice last season, and compared to the likes of Charambolous, Yiga looked like Ronaldo !!

Whilst i equally don't think so, JK may just be right in a few years time.

Did we not say something similar about Akpo Sodge-although in that instance, i think we did recognise that with his physique and proper training, he could do well-never expected him to make it to a div 1 club though !!!

We love ANYONE who scores a goal June!

Yiga's a decent player, not great but as with Sesay he isnt getting the games.Just because he subsequently dosent have a good game he gets cast aside.I can think of many players throughout the season who have underperformed but have not been treated the same way.

I cannot see how any player, if not getting games, can ever improve, whatever the latent talent present. But getting the games is difficult when a lot is at stake, and it takes a bit of faith that they will come right, if they don't get it right at the first attempt.

This must be the big quandary for the manager. Do you risk the result now for the gain later? With the current constraints we have I can see that it is a gamble to take that risk, but ultimately it does not help the promising players come through. With the burden of expectations so great, it is tempting to play safe maybe, but to the detriment of promise to come?

nice to see a bit of proper debate on here...

Michaelmichael has it on the head, so many players slip through our net and go onto better things, and when we have GOOD young players in our squad like Yiga, Osman and they don't play, we wonder why they leave and do go onto better things. Its time the club changed for the better and played people by form and the chances they deserve, not their own reputation.

Trott may have marked Shearer well years and years ago, but it doesnt make up for the fact that on the pitch he's past it.

Have seen him play now 4 times for reserves.

Out wide he had no pace and contributed nothing.

As a 2nd forward has scored goals as big and a niusance but his link up play is poor and touch heavy. There are better reserve players than him and he is on a contract. Doubt whether he will ever be above Kent league standard but might be wrong. Certainly not my type of player.
