Stuff the Kent Cup. We've had that for far too many years now & quite frankly it gets boring winning it. We have to concentrate on our league form now. Thats much more important than the KSC i.m.o.

The F.A.Cup was an important one to win followed by the F.A.Trophy then the League Cup.All past by us now unfortunately but the KSC is the least important to me. Others may like to win the thing again & I can understand that but for me its the league now & nothing else matters.

If you want the KSC cup you can have it.

Cant wait to take you on in the league at our place but am slightly concerned about the tie at your place though. Still, maybe we can put some form together,with some good finishing to go with it,on the day.We're due an avalanche of goals for! Maybe we're saving that for boxing day!

Agree Cookie I would get very little pleasure from seeing us lift the KSC again. It has no significance compared to the league. Of course, it is a chance for the younger players to show what they can do.

Thats very true GW. Lets hope Trotty does use them in this competition.Having said what I have said about this cup & whether its our first team or youngsters out there it would still be a game of football involving our club.A game of football is still worth watching even if its a KSC game & it dosent matter who we are pitted against.

I see the reserves have a game at Ashford on the same night , so i reckon RT may play a mainly 'first team squad'.

The reserve squad is big (enough to put out two reserve sides) so there shouldnt be any problem if Trotty wishes to use a couple of the lads who haven't had a chance yet. Heath springs to mind. Would be good to see Dolton and Bagley get another chance (if Dolton is ok after the knock yesterday).

Totally agree that the KSC is meaningless and we should play the likes of Heath (and Luke Williams )in defence ,and holden and bagley up front

Don't quite know what you really get out of winning it except for the title but we need some sort of cup run this season.

 

Cookie, looking forward to the two remaining Thanet matches - although I heard you might be playing at Southwood both times, what with the ground and TDC. We'll be leading the table by Christmas and hopefully you'll be second so that there's loads to play for!!!
