The award for the "Team Performances of the Month" recognises a particularly noteworthy performance by a Club during that month. In October there were an exceptional number of top quality performances, with many clubs in the running for the award through their League, FA Cup and FA Trophy achievements.

 

Bromley received the Premier Division Team Performance award when the club reached the First Round Proper of the FA Cup with an excellent 2-1 victory at Conference National club Grays Athletic on the last Saturday of the month.

 

In Division One North, Potters Bar Town Football Club won by a similar score on their visit to Margate in the Third Round of the FA Cup, as they reached the Fourth Round Qualifying for the first time in their history. The previous best was the First Round Qualifying.

 

Having beaten very difficult opponents Mangotsfield United 4-1 in a replay in the Third Round Qualifying, Leatherhead became the only Step 4 club in the country to reach the First Round Proper of the FA Cup when they travelled to AFC Sudbury on the last Saturday of October to win a very tight encounter by two goals to one, and the reward of a trip to Torquay United on 11th November as a result, winning the club the award for Division One South Team Performance in October.

...but an unusually pragmatic response from Sean I thought; that Chelmo's Cup success was was not as deserving of accolades as Bromleys.

 

Beating Hayes & Grays was definately a significant achievement.

During the current season (since Premiership and Championship scouts have been showing an interest), around half a million quids worth Ryan!
Obviously, no-one pays that sort of money for a kid playing for a non league club, but if he IS eventually snapped up, I'm sure a "sell on" or "appearance" clause in his new contract would generate that sort of cash.
