Wallace Leaves & Financial Troubles Return

GarySTFC

Recommended Posts

As reported in the Observer today. Wallace looks like jumping ship at the first sign of trouble to get a 'very good offer' from Fleet Town and reports of recent money worries confirmed by Roy.

Make the most of this season good or bad, it could well be our last.

Thought the Observer repoted wallace had gone already?

Tom why dont you ask the directors of the club what the finacial situation is as I am sure they have uptodate accounts available, or you could get them from companies house - oh I forgot they have not been sent to companies house by the directors of the club since 2003!!! - have the chickens come home to roost?

I am sure the club will publish a statement on the clubs site keeping the fans informed of the situation so that measures can be taken to keep the club going through this minor hic-up.

Quotes from Roy in the Observer:

"To be honest finance is a problem at the moment. But we are no different from all the other sides. We are out of the FA Trophy and the FA Cup without making too much money out of those competitions. We are also not going particularly strongly in any direction. But we appreciate what Mark West and Darron Wilkinson are doing at the moment, coping with a very tight ship. At the end of of the day we are all at Slough because we believe in the club. I've spoken to a number of players and nobody likes to have financial problems of any description." On Martyn Deaner "He is totally fed up with putting money into a black hole." On the future: "Although it looks bleak there is a possibility of change in the air."
