Having read through several of the posts on this forum I am disheartened to find comments that are suggesting that I am pulling this club apart, I have been with Grays Athletic for 6 years and the club has always come first in everything I do, whilst I appreciate that people are entitled to their own opinion I am getting tired of the continual abuse that I see and hear from certain sections that believe that I am harming their club.

 

If this negativity and abuse continues it would leave me no other option but to resign and to close the Club down, obviously none of us want this to happen but I feel this would be the only option.

fella needs to roll with the punches imo. he's done everything he can for grays imo, and could probably do without the criticism of the new few.

It does seem a tad drastic to "close the club down"

but perhaps they could be plying there trade in the ryman next season, or even the esl <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

As much as I dislike Grays, I wouldn't want to wish the closure of there club on anyone (except millwall)

Looks like the daggers will be the only representatives, in the conference next year then!

Mate the problem with him is its the MW show.

 

No doubting what he has done but in praise and gratitude he has been repaid 10 times over. The fans can not do anymore.

 

What has happened thou is the club behind the scenes is a state, the club shop is poor, the bar is poor and the food etc is poor.

 

No one has got personal against him just made suggestions on how to improve the club, yet he takes it to heart and comes out with the above.

 

To be honnest anyone close to the club can see him for what he is, and I would prefer to be where you are and happy than where we are now and have a chairman like we do.

Oh and he can not close the club it is very well safe guarded as he does not actually own the land itself, a family called the billings do who have ensured the clubs future, hence why that statement has been removed

Well this is how it works.

 

Stimson produced the best at the club, not just in terms of performances but the income from them performances, i.e cup wins, cup runs, sky tv money.

 

All he wanted was the money to push that extra step and the infrastructure to catch up with the team, and he was promised it would happen.

 

It didnt so Stimmo knew that ultimately this would be flash in the pan stuff.

 

With Stevenage he has a solid background to work with

I remember Woodward threatening to quit last year if he didn't get full support at a meeting. Seems he doesn't take too kindly to criticism.

It seems he thinks he should have more respect for what he has done for Grays. At the end of the day it's not just him that has got Grays to where they are now.

Who else was it Yellow? He supplied the cash to employ the management/players and improve the ground, without him Grays would be in the same situation as us.

He shouldn`t be acting as he is but he should (and probably is) be respected by the most Grays fans for what he has done for their club.

Cash isn't everything. What I meant is that the cash had to be used wisely and whatever you say about Stimson he was shrewd enough to buy the right players.

Stimson was the man, who bought well for them!

It will be interesting to see where they go from here. (here being if woodward actually does go)
