Hi,<P>We are delighted to announce an expansion of Isthmian.Com, a competition, and upgrades to the board room for some members.<P>Isthmian.Com has only been running since September 6th, however since that time we have had many requests to open the forums up to other non league clubs - needless to say we could not do that under the name of Isthmian.Com - that is why from now onwards we will be known simply at 'Non League Forums' - we do exactly what is says on the header!!<P>We have a new domain name as well - <A HREF="http://www.nonleague.net" TARGET=_blank>www.nonleague.net</A> - this is probably a temporary domain name (see below) - but all our domain names will automatically redirect - therefore if you have links to forums under <A HREF="http://www.isthmian.com," TARGET=_blank>www.isthmian.com,</A> these will automatically redirect, meaning that you will not need to change any links in the short term.<P>This email, contains a lot of information on the expansion, as well as a competition, to win a copy of the Official Non-League Club Directory 2002, that retails at £19.50.<P><BR>New Forums<BR>##########<P>We will be introducing new forums under the League Chat section for the following leagues - <P>General Non League Chat<BR>Non League Cup Exploits<BR>Conference<BR>Isthmian (Ryman)<BR>Northern Premier (Unibond)<BR>Southern League (Dr Martens)<BR>Combined Counties<BR>Eastern Counties<BR>Essex Senior<BR>Hellenic League<BR>Kent<BR>Midland Football Alliance<BR>Northern Counties East<BR>Northern League<BR>North West Counties<BR>Spartan South Midlands<BR>Sussex<BR>United Counties<BR>Wessex<BR>Western<BR>Other Non League Divisions<P>The forums will be in Pyramid / Alphabetical Order. Any clubs from any of these leagues are welcome to apply for club forums (see below). There will always have to be a cut off point, although the final forum should cater for any other minor leagues - and we will not be having sub-divisions of any of the leagues - but will of course monitor this - for example if the Conference were to split into a Northern & Southern Conference, then this might be an exception to the rule.<P>To ease reference, we will call the forums by their actual name, but include the sponsors names in brackets - this saves the re-naming of forums if sponsor names alter. <P>Avatars<BR>#######<P>As you are probably aware, you can choose an 'avatar' to personalise your messages - we currently have most club badges from the Isthmian (Ryman) League, and other clubs will be added, as and when we can get hold of the badges. You can change your avatar, via the 'edit your profile' link on the left of every page. If your club badge is not available, please email a copy of it to admin@nonleague.net, and we will add it to the list. Also if you would like an individual avatar, email it to us as well, and we will make it available to you, exclusively.<P>Logging In / Lost Password or Username<BR>######################################<P>Following the change of domain name, you may find that you need to log in again to post messages - once you have logged in, your computer should keep your login in a cookie, so that on future visits you do not need to log in. If you still have problems, email admin@nonleague.net, with as much info as possible, and we will dig your records out.<P>Club Forums<BR>###########<P>If your club would like a forum, within the Non League Forums, then feel free to ask - send an email to admin@nonleague.net - there is no charge for this, and club forums can be tailored to your own requirements.<P>Links<BR>#####<P>At the moment the links page contains Isthmian (Ryman) clubs - this page will be updated to include links to many other non-league sites. This will however not happen for at least a week or so.... Please wait for the online forum to be updated.<P>Webmasters Forum<BR>################<P>We currently run an email forum for webmasters of Isthmian Clubs - see the link on left of every page for more info. This email forum will remain for Ryman Clubs, however should the demand be there, we can easily start forums for other webmasters of other clubs (but these will not merge.) The existing emails address for the forum will not change. There is also a Webmasters web forum, that will be open to all non league webmasters, irrespective of the club or division - apply to admin@nonleague.net with details of the club, website etc...<P>Confusion<BR>#########<P>At the top of this email, I said that <A HREF="http://www.nonleague.net," TARGET=_blank>www.nonleague.net,</A> may well be a temporary name - the obvious reason for this is the similarity between this and <A HREF="http://www.non-league.net" TARGET=_blank>www.non-league.net</A> (Non League on the Net) - we have made it very clear on our site, that we are not linked, however we will be carrying links to the various sections of NLOTN, as well as other Non League Sites - and we hope that these sites, will carry a link back to us.<P>Logos / Links<BR>#############<P>We will have some new banners, and logos available very soon, to enable websites to add us to their links page - in the meantime we would be very grateful of an ordinary link - you can link to either <A HREF="http://www.isthmian.com" TARGET=_blank>http://www.isthmian.com</A> - <A HREF="http://www.southernleague.co.uk" TARGET=_blank>http://www.southernleague.co.uk</A> or <A HREF="http://www.nonleague.net" TARGET=_blank>http://www.nonleague.net</A> - please link as Non League Forums.<P> <BR>New Layout<BR>##########<P>As part of the expansion we are looking at an upgrade of the navigation of the site, to ease your way around it.<P>Upgraded Forums<BR>###############<P>We will be upgrading the forums over the next 2 weeks, to bring many additional features including Members Table, Who's online, and other features. Many of these features will be hand coded, so it will take a couple of weeks, before the updated versions go live. You should also notice an increase in the speed, as we will be altering the way the code is run in your browser.<P><BR>Active Topics<BR>#############<P>One of the most popular ways for people to see the current threads, is to click on the 'Active Topics' link to the left of every page - this however will only show those threads that have had posts since the previous midnight - to see a bit further back click on Search Forums, and leave everything as default, except search by date - change this to 'since yesterday' for the last 48 hours etc...<P>Board Room<BR>##########<P>To add a little extra fun to the site, we have a board room. We are pleased to announce that the following people have been upgraded to the board room, for their contribution to the site, whether it be on a club forum, or one of the main forums. The first batch of upgrades are Merv CIFC, Canv, GazzaBTFC, ChrisA2001, Vic, Canfan, Freebird, Irony_BTFC and SteveP-Chesh - congratulations to all those who have been upgraded!!
