Potters Bar......

Recommended Posts

Wembley Way - I'm not being funny but can I ask why you started a new thread for this, we have a 'FAO Potters Bar Town' thread which is also for non SSML banter and non SSML Club's which Paula pointed out when she created it. It's nice to know Potters Bar Town are in all these County Cup competitions by the way!!

MAYDAY MAYDAY, has Potters Bar Town returned from his travels this afternoon as I'm about to send out a search party, he asked me to meet a 17.00 deadline in reply to some extremely serious allegations made against him I was alledged to have made and it's unlike him not to be around at 17.01, sorry 17.0001, to see if I have responded. Don't worry I'm used to meeting Parliamentary deadlines at work and more importantly Terry Gilmore's 15.00 deadline on Friday's to register players for the weekend.

TAG - I see you've decided to go on the offensive Rhodes. Picking on me for signing on at the same time everyday (oh to be a normal human being and write posts at 3.12am) and now having a go at PBT for not 'dancing to your (out of) tune'

Lato - I have sadly been forced onto the offensive by the constant unfair and unwarranted criticism on here, it really is becoming disheartening when we're pulling up trees on the field of play, as well as off it, week in week out and not getting the credit we richly deserve. You only have to see the high profile Islington Gazette this week where we have just as much coverage, if not more, than Arsenal with a picture of the Great Clement Temile side by side with one of William Gallas calling him (Clement) 'inspirational', actually that's an under statement.

Don't live in Islington, therefore don't see it but isn't it just a local rag like the High and Ham or the hertford Mercury or the Harrow Observer or the Ruislip Northwood gazette - are any of those high profile publications (see there you go again Rhodes!) Is William Gallas calling "the great clement temile" inspirational.

And the reason you get criticism on here is not for the actions of KTFC but as many people including some at your own club have said for you ridiculous and unnecessary hype of the team.

Lato - I don't think I hype up the team at all, just the opposite infact as I wrongly predicted we would lose 5-0 last night. As for the 'Ham and High' you are wrong there too as it's very much the 'Fox and Hounds' and 'Esquire' of the local north London press and all the Primrose Hill set like Kate Moss, Sadie Frost, Gwyneth Paltrow and Stella McCartney swear by it, therefore they will see our name up in lights and read about the amazing Community work our players are carrying out in their own free time.

The high profile 'Ham and High' newspaper is a must read for the Primrose Hill set, Sadie Frost writes a column in it every week. It was a real effort to get our article published, it took painstaking negotiations with their editor bordering on the Icelandic Peace Agreement however they're now considering sponsoring us.

This was one of the photos of our players I submitted to the paper in a hope that if they printed it Sadie Frost would take a shine to one of them, she likes toy boys and is loaded so if the player had played his cards right we might have got some sponsorship:

And another of the pics we submitted to the Ham and High paper, that's the Great Daniel Young reading Non League, what an advert for them!

Ok was you @ that game then i take it, and what did you think<img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shrug.gif" alt="" />

I thought the early goal killed the game off. It seemed to be one way traffic after that. Hadn't seen either side for quite some time before that so it's difficult to judge on just that performance but Wembley certainly seemed more up for it.
