Snakes Lane was up off the A406. If memory serves me well there was a space up between various factions at Woodford and the club split - a la Southall.

Went there in 86 then they played Orient in the FA Cup..and should have won too.

I remember the names for sure..Didn't Barry Hayles start off at Willesden Hawkeye?

Could this be because their name doesn't have a local identity for people to attach their loyalty to.

Which explains your reason for suggesting the resurrection of this same name for a multi area new step 5 league for 2006-7 eh Coups.

 

Having said that the NLP seems to think that if the northern clubs don't manage to work out a system for helping to put out 6 step 4 leagues for next season there will be less likelihood of step 5 being rationalised down to 12.

 

Or will the FA do this in any case do you think?

 

It does seem to me that step 5 needs seeing to. Certainly in our general corner of Engerland which is awash with clubs which seem to be attached to other leagues.
