FA in Hornchurch name chage shame

did you see the fixtures for last weeks fa trophy,the first 4 teams were AFC Hornchurch,AFC Sudbury,AFC Telford and the most absurd of all AFC Wimbledon.at last the FA have decided to end this farce and a memo will be send out next week that clubs will have to refer to themselves as FC =football club and not AFC=amateur football club,it was ok when one club was doing it but if we carry on like this all clubs will have AFC before their name.The announcement wont be made until thursday so keep this information to yourselves till then,thanks.

what a load of bollox,perhaps the F.A should worry more about the game and some of the terrible refereeing,charges etc etc instead of worrying about something so petty,just goes to show that the people running the game in this country are a load of pr1cks!

And I believe that Bournemouth added the AFC to their name so that they would come before Arsenal in an alphabetical list of English teams.

Changed their name in '71 when they dropped the and Boscombe suffix...I think they had to put the AFC in front because of the local non-league side Bournemouth. AFC tried to buy the name from them but they refused.....well something along those lines anyway...
