Sam put in an excellent performance and didn't put a foot wrong. Just a shame some of our fans will only look at the negatives rather than see the one positive to come out of yesterday.

Sam Mott's performance under pressure was a positive. Yes we were dire, to say the least, yes we have spurned the opportunity of an FA Cup run for another year, but yesterday we saw we have more than adequate cover for Lance, if and when we need it, and NOT another Aaron Kerr/Alex O'Reilly!

Yes we were crap there is no denying it but I think you will find that you are the one clutching at straws, desperate to be as pessimistic as possible.

 

How can anyone say that Sam Mott’s performance was anything other than impressive? If I had been on a scouting mission yesterday I wouldn't have recommended any of the players, this contradicts our excellent league position. However for some reason there is a divide at this club between the fans and the club and more importantly the fans and the players. I just think that is a real shame, everyone should remember we're on the same side.

Sam's performance was adequate...nothing more. He did nothing more than should be expected of a goalkeeper at the level he is playing at.

Yes, he made two good back to back saves, the second of which though was offside although its fair to say he wouldn't have known that.

Worryingly he stayed rooted to his line, more than once, when he could have and indeed should have come for crosses.

I just hope that Lance Cronin is back for next Saturday.

I don't think many managers would 'expect' their 'keeper to make the magnificent fingertip stop he made midway through the second half.

Comparing Aaron to Alex is a bit of an insult to the former in my view.

Agree. When Aaron played for us at the back end of last year he proved he was more than good enough. He just wanted first team football (and the chance to drink as much as he wants every Saturday!! top bloke)

To be honest none of these guys are up to the standard of Pullen or even Wilko. Both those guys dominated their areas and had the build of a proper keeper.

 

These current guys are all too young, too small and too inexperienced for Conference football

 

Cronin is lucky that in most games hes been protected by three strong centre halves in front of him
