I just lifted this off the Heybridge Swifts site dated 27/10/06 -

Sunday's edition of The Non-League Paper will be the last to be published.

Recently taken over by its third owners in four years, the NLP has endured a chequered history. It started life under the aegis of Non-League Media plc, later being acquired by Greenways Media, but went into administration for the second time earlier this year owing more than £750,000, before being bought by BHT Media.

The NLP will be incorporated into a new 120-page paper called the Football Paper covering the Premiership and Coca-Cola League as well as non-league football. However, there will be no dedicated Welsh edition.

How things get twisted....The paper went into adminstration because of so-called accountants with sticky fingers.

BHT did buy it out, and after much thought the NLP will be sold inside the LP and retitled the Football Paper.

This will start now on Sunday week. The Non-League Paper will be inside, but still with the same amount of pages and same coverage.

The whole package will cost 20p extra, and will not cover Premiership, just Football League, some Scottish, Welsh and Irish.

There never was or has been a dedicated Welsh edition only 4 change pages to encapsulate the Taffy angle as a lot of copies are sold in the principality...

No, wasn't there today as I work Saturdays, so will be there Tuesday, so make yourself be known....Red wine is the give away!

Yes, next Saturday is supposed to be the 2nd Round.I've had another look at the latest centre spot and it says that if the ties are not played Tuesday, they'll try again on Wednesday and if still no joy, will play on Saturday and re-arrange scheduled ties for another day.

Having said that it's been dry here for two days so don't really see a problem at our place.
