So you'd drop Slatts then Gary?

You mean you wouldn't? The trouble is FB is you've obviously befriended the players to such an extent that any criticism of them you find hard to take. They are footballers and they know full well that sometimes they have to take one for the team. I see Danny nothing more as a squad player, that actually says a lot about the quality of players we have in the midfield at the moment.

Are we back to the Fleetbabe debate and whether she watches the football or the short bulges again?

Spot on, Harry. We have a big squad, particularly strong in midfield.
We can perm any 4 or 5 from about 9.
A problem Fleet teams in the past have had (and England teams) is that certain players never, ever got dropped.

I agree with Harry

Both Luke and Slats need to be rested

Neither are playing well and to keep them in seems to be stupid - especially Luke - on Saturday he hardly touched the ball and when he did he lost it (and that was against a team two leagues below us)

Long seems to have promise, but again he's only a young boy and needs to be fed in and out the side like the aforementioned lads

I think that post is a little bit out of order H. We are all entitled to an opinion ( regretfully even CG....only joking Gazza )...so why should your opinion "trump" FB's......???

Don't forget guys and gals, free speech is a dying trend...enjoy it while you can ! Watch out for the Wheelie Bin bugs !!

I love you all........

Cheers,

So you find Chelmsford 'supporters' comparing the referee to Osama Bin Laden acceptable?

Of course its not acceptable, then again some of the chants heard at Stonebridge Road this season are equally as unacceptable.

My point is that whatever the Chelmsford 'supporters' were chanting, it has nothing to do with either the result or the unacceptable level of the performance by the team in blue, as some earlier posters appear to be saying.

To be fair I haven't heard a racist chant, or any kind of 'racial slur' since we were debating whether 'No Surrender to the IRA' was actually racist, after the Notts County game- and regardless of whether you agree or disagree, citing that as racist is a teensy bit pedantic!

And about the chants, I complained about their supporters only having one song, I admit I was taking the arrogant stance of a bigger club trying to belittle someone who had made them look like idiots! But it seriously was winding me up at the time!

AND HE TOL ME TO THROGH THE AIR HORN AT THERE GOALKEEPER SO I DID AT THE END OF THE GAME

Carry on throwing things at goalkeepers and you won't be Fleet '4 lyf' much longer. They'll ban you.

We don't want that sort of thing amongst our fans. I remember last season at Scarborough when one of our fans took out his anger on one of the seats by kicking it.

Err, how is Long going to get fit without a reserve side.

The ONLY way to get match fit is by playing in games, for 90 minutes, not just coming on for 15/20 minutes at the end.

Of course, we have a number of permutations in midfield -even using 2 out and out wingers in Keeling and Anderson, with DeBolla and Quinn in the middle.

You simply cannot accommodate everyone -it a squad game these days, and hopefully gone are the days where players were selected simply because of their seniority.
