Fiston Manuellas challenge on Slatter was more than worthy of a yellow card.

Mr Singh showed why he is a league ref - many of the aspiring colleagues of his we have had this year could take note of his performance and learn from it - Jock Waugh, Ray Lee, Darren Deadman that means you too.

As Gordon said at the match, I'm now beginning to hate the FA Cup!

Past 3 season (this one inclusive), lost to underdogs in the qualifying round.

I would also like to say that Sam Mott was f*ckin awesome yesterday, under pressure along with his first major appearance this season, well done Motty.

Still, there's the FA Trophy, Kent Cup or maybe getting a decent spot in the table.

COME ON THE FLEET!, concentrate on Morecambe and Oxford games.

Always good to get an intelligent posting from a supporter of an opposing club who is more interested in the game itself than trading infantile insults.

I remember those years in the Southern League when we were always very close rivals. Still have clear memories of a win at your old place, what must have been nearly 30 years ago, in the Southern Premier, with Fleet goals from Colin Norman & (I believe a Chelmsford old boy) Lennie Tomkins.

Best wishes to you for the future, short & long term.

You'll be pleased to know that it's finally hit me about how god awful we were on Saturday. I knew already as I said in previous post's but now, being Monday morning, it has finally hit me. While I'm pissed off that we yet again failed to secure a place in the FA Cup I won't go into how I feel about certain individuals at this current time as it will probably come back to haunt me at a later date.

Read the "P.S" before you continue...

However this won't stop me from attending Morecambe this Saturday and nor should it anyone else that might have been thinking of going. How many of the 400 odd that were there on Saturday could make the trip to Morecambe to let the boys know that we support them? Perhaps the boys were a bit miffed that we get lots of fans to the local games but not many to the away games. Are you fans of the club or not? I bet you'd go if we played Liverpool, which is not as far, in the Cup.

I know lots of our fans have supported the team longer than I have blah blah blah that is not the point we no need to show the team that we are there with them all the way.

I don't mean to offend anyone but you know I'm right. How many people have looked at our dwindling home performances and thought "I bet we'd get more in if The Arsenal were playing here"? Well that’s exactly what I am saying so unless you're a hypercritic you'll make every effort to support the team.

P.S I'm not criticising those who have work commitments. If you took holiday on Saturday to come you obviously can't do that for every Saturday which was just a one off for the cup, nor am I criticising those who have family commitments. A few hours away at Chelmsford is a drop in the ocean compared to the 11 hour round trip to Morecambe. Those who are one of the above or who have other circumstances that won't allow them to attend the game would desperately love to be there but cannot.

The people that need to look at themselves are the people that are not going, not because of other commitments but because it's "too far".

"Over land and sea" etc etc...

What about if you literally cannot afford to?

I'm not taking offence Harry, I'm just curious where my excuse falls on the Harry J Acceptability Chart! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Morecombe is one ground I have yet to visit in the Conference, maybe next year, fingers crossed!

But distance often impacts on whether you can fit things in. If you've got extra work at weekends or need to spend time with family, then a trip to, say, Woking is probably do-able, but a morning start to Morecambe or Halifax is less easy to fit in, even if you haven't got rigid commitments.

Thats what I'm saying Stu. Many people simply can't leave for Morecambe at 8:00 in the morning and get back at 22:00 due to other commitments. There are hundreds of reasons why people can't make the game on Saturday due to other things going on in their life, work family etc etc and I'm sure the majority of these people would love to attend Morecmabe. I'm talking about the people that have nothing to do all day Saturday that will go because they can't be bothered.

I don't know any one persons circumstances and would point fingers at people for not going.
