Billericay 0-1 Braintree

Good work out for the lads... Tight first half, neither keeper really troubled. Flack had probably best chance for us but their keeper was equal to it. 2nd half we made a lot of changes, game opened up. Burbridge went close with a good shot that was well saved then they scored in the 90th minute.

Team that Started

Worster

McSweeney Swaine Blewitt Triallist

Whelpdale Game Hill Dormer

Elder Flack

Team that finished

Worster

Semanshia McSweeney Swaine Axcell

Lay Lee-Finch Dormer Hodges

Burbridge Poole

Good to see Burbridge and Poole make returns from injury, and another runout for Lay.

Just think, the Chelmo Chav's arrogance on every forum before the game and the Aldershot response at the game...

Anyway, I thought our game yesterday was very entertaining, shame about the sucker punch goal in the last couple of minutes as I thought both teams were even. I was impressed by the youth players that came on and also pleased to see Burbridge get a couple of chances which the Braintree goalkeeper was up to. Nice back heel attempt on goal.

At the other end, our keeper certainly showed that he is a big talent and one that we should look after, along side Blewitt and Swaine. Nathan's touch has improved a lot and he is looking hungry...A bit unfair to pick out certain players as they all did well.

Onwards to Aylesbury... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Sorry, I'm lost here...what should I (we) be envious of?

All I alluded to is the arrogant faction of your support will be on every forum and that there is every chance that the Aldershot support may answer on the day...

Nothing about being jealous or envious...how you lot read into things is a wonder...perhaps that is arrogance in itself...

Oh and "hate"? That is giving yourselves far too much credit...

No need to get lost Gazza - the "envy" thing is not of my making - just referring back to some of the threads we've seen on here in the past.

IMO, there is no such thing as envy in the football fraternity. I think I would be right in saying that Manchester City fans are not "envious" of Manchester United, or Spurs fans "envious" of Arsenal. Just good old fashioned rivalry with, yes, a bit of arrogance thrown in now and again.

Also think that "hate" is too strong a word in this context.

Why Gazza use this language, when I suspect by the number of fans who log on to each others forum, on both sides look out for each others score after every game, are interested in each others 'progress', and there is nothing wrong with a bit of banter and ribbing, personalities aside.

Even you must have been impressed we turned G&N over and may ( a big may) do the same to Aldershot

Of course we now think we can do it after Saturdays Performance. I don't believe you 'Hate' Chelmsford.........really????

Lets answer the first one...Really wasn't bothered who won but some G&N supporters I work said that Chelmo would quite probably turn 'em over.

Did I say I hate Chelmsford? I don't think I did...

The majority of us at New Lodge, really couldn't've been bothered about your game either...Pretty insignificant as far as we're concerned with a F A Trophy game on Monday night

Come on gazza , i cannot believe you posted this on the Chelmsford MB. A few Riccay fans came over after your match and I have had some friendly banter with some mates who are Riccay supporters and they did care about the result.

I can't believe that one part of you isn't pleased we did so well...a non league non conference side made it through to the first round proper...come on now....

As a convicted Riccay baiter, I will be rooting for riccay on Monday night and will be chuffed it you make it...come on in response a small smillie??

It wasn't a surprise, after talking with my colleagues at work.

To be honest, my thoughts were more on the teams performance against Braintree (which was good) and my travel arrangements on Monday.

If you wish approval, then well done.

And thank you for your wishes for Mondays game

Nope but to some of our freinds it apparently does. Strange, whenever I've gone over and visited the "Soapbox", especially when we have a big game lined up, I read that Big Daddy and his mates posting messages of how they want us to fail...

...And then he moans that we haven't congratulated them over the Gravesend victory. They really do live in their own world where they feel they have the right to slag other teams off and then expect us to feel grateful for their victory....One of them even wrote that they are doing it for Essex!!! LMSO...so Southend and Colchester are not in Essex, then....

On the other hand, it is obvious from the postings that they are pushing from some word of approval from us...Ahhhhh, what it is to be in the company of your peers, eh, BD?

He's not on here but I am.....fair enough Ryan C.

Suppose you will be very upset if we progress then?

I wanted Gravesend to win, does that make me a bad person? [****!!****] all this non-league team in the FA Cup crap, the sooner you lot are out, the better.

Post Extras:

You have a big problem with Chelmsford Then?
