Yes there was. From next week it is incorporated in the League paper.
Have a hunt round today - you may still get one

...
So when they said on the front page of last weeks that it was not going to be going anywhere, they were in some ways wrong.

Hi Folks - Just received this e-mail from the SSML on behalf on 'the new' Non League paper, it seems a bit of a 'hard sell' approach to me:

Hi Guys

I trust you are well. As you may have heard, as of Sunday November 12th The Non-League Paper and The League Paper will be amalgamating to form a 120 page paper simply called The Football Paper.

I am sure you will agree that this makes a very interesting piece for your matchday programme at your next home game and your Club website. (If you repesent a league I would be extremely grateful if you could forward this mail to all the clubs you represent).

Suggested text would be:

In one of the most exciting developments in sports publishing, The Non-League Paper and The League Paper will be amalgamating to form The Football Paper from Sunday November 12th.

Non-League lovers will still have their very own newspaper, however, as The NLP will be a self-contained 64-page newspaper printed inside a 56 page Football Paper.

Those 56 pages will contain extensive coverage of the Football League in the style of the current Football League Paper, with the addition of Premiership match reporting and news plus a view of the Scottish and Irish scene. The cover price for this 120 page tabloid newspaper will be £1.50.

Simon Burrell, Managing Director of BHT Media, owners of The Non-League Paper and The League Paper, said: "This is an exciting and logical development of the two brands."

David Emery, editor in chief and founder editor of The Non-League Paper in 2000, said: "For the first time football fans will be able to receive complete coverage of the national game in one package. We are securing the services of several fine columnists who will bring incisive comment, expert analysis and some wit to Sunday mornings.

"We are mindful that our very loyal Non-League readers must continue to receive the high standard product they demand and we assure them everything will be in place as before - they will simply have another 56 pages of football to read if they choose to do so".

I have attached our new Football Paper logo, Non League Paper logo, front cover and ad for The Football Paper for you to use as you see fitting.

Many Thanks

Paula - Only joking love, what has happened to your sense of humour lately. I just didn't want the Alex Fergusson hairdryer treatment again that was all.

I got it e-mailed straight from the man himself. Why have you bothered to post the whole thing on here? Why not just put it on your club website or in your programme as asked? Not sure he would want all and sundry having his contact details. Do you not know how to put a press release together?

Uncle Urchin - Well no offence intended, I just wondered why you copied the whole of my post over again when it was immediately above yours on the thread that's all. Also it wasn't a load of poppycock, it was information a lot of people would be interested in, it's true that some would have already been sent it direct but only Committee members of their respective Club's, Paula hadn't for example.

Uncle Urchin - Thanks for that, actually any friend of Paula's is a friend of mine too! I see you're an old hand on the Forum with an amazing 10,621 posts to your name since December 2002, I didn't even know the Forum had been going that long. Yes by all means come in from time to time to say hello, I don't mind, honest!
