is money ruining the essex senior league

someone at training last night said they felt the amount of money being pumped in by clubs at present for players wages is ruining the league as the players have no ambition to move up the pyramid as they can earn more money here.

 

not sure what i think about this as money brings in big players which make the league competitive but we never really have any sides do well in the vase. concord got to 5th round 3/4 years ago.

If your offered a decent wedge playing in the Senior League then I dont begrudge players earning a few bob!

 

At the end of the day, the past 4/5 seasons have been won by the team with the most Money! Enfield Town, Hornchurch etc

 

Burnham are the side who has consistently paid out loadsa money with no real reward (League title/promotion wise!!

it has been won by the team best supported as well...it's just a shame that only one gets promoted <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />there are clubs throwing money,right,left and centre and they will end up really disappointed <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />anyway,it's their money and they can do what they like with it... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/pipe.gif" alt="" />

Money has ruined the top league in the country. Why should any other league be any different ?

I`am all for the money in the league, throw it my way as much as you can.

 

Players if they are worth it will get the money,

 

It up to the chairman/maanger to make that choice on each player. If they are not worth it they will bomb them, there choice.
