Dont tempt fate - the Tour of Britain was, of course, misdirected in Medway last year so its not impossible!

I heard a rumour they are using Medway traffic wardens as marshalls. Better hope they cycle bloody fast por they will be getting a lot of tickets!!!

Well having been out to Sheerness a few tinmes, Chatham is marginally better Gary!!!!!! I hope I get allocated a position near my home, so not a long trek back after the cyclists go whizzing past. We will see next weekend.

Ebbsfleet United Embrace The Tour De France

 

Ebbsfleet United are offering spectators of The Tour De France the chance to refuel themselves ahead of what is going to be an action pack day on Sunday 8th July. Ebbsfleet United are opening the main Club Bar from 8.30am in the morning to sell a selection of food and drink including tea, coffee and soft drinks. Alcoholic drinks will also be available from 12.00 noon. Local Chef to the stars Rob Abdul owner of The Cafe Taj will also be present on the day serving some Indian treats for you to buy.

 

The club are encouraging spectators to walk or cycle down to the ground but for any spectators, thinking of driving then please park along Thames Way (the new road by Ebbsfleet International). The Stonebridge Road is shut from 7am but spectators can still cross the road up until 9.30am. In the bar the event will be screened Live enabling spectators to follow the race right up until the riders descend down the top of Stonebridge Road and whiz right past the ground, then back into the bar to follow the live action on T.V as the riders climb up The Hill and prepare to enter Gravesend.

 

 

So to sample the big race atmosphere at your local football club make sure you get down to Stonebridge Road
