I agree with SL. SOB has put a detailed version of events. We are all dissapointed about the game not going ahead. I was looking forward to it and meeting a few AFCH fans that I haven't met yet. Let's put this thread to bed and look forward to our next meeting.

As we are having to monitor the weather this week as part of the A level geography course, here is our obsercation on the past week - (abridged version)

 

Sunday - intense low pressure moved in from the SW bringing continuous rain over London and Essex - over 3 cm of rain fell.

 

Monday - rain died out overnight but another zone of low pressure brought more rain, which fell throughout the afternoon and evening and into the night - approx. 2 cm.

 

Tuesday - Overnight rain continued into morning and stopped at approx 1.15pm- sunny in afternoon as hihg pressure moved in from SW - temperature dropped sharply in evening.

 

(The high pressure coincided with the HFC match - on asking at 7pm if there was any news of the following night's Cap Lge match, we were advised that the Haringey pitch was 'half under water' and it was unlikely to go ahead. With apologies, but I did not think to ask which half was underwater.

 

Wednesday - another low pressure occluded front moved in overnight and brought more rain, this time from the SE - this brought alternating sun and showers with 4.47 mm of rain falling.

well i for one am glad this match didn't go ahead as i've not been to haringey's ground.

 

i'll accept sob's rational explanation and laugh at steph's biology lesson.

 

as steph is a biology expert, how is it possible for someone to have their own head in their anus?

Blimey O'Riley Steph you do know how to rattle somebody's cage mate ,I do like the biology lesson that was funny , I've had an interesting week , I went down for the official opening of Arsenals new ground on thursday as I wanted to give the royals a piece of my mind, Bad news was her royal highheaveness didn't show ,but my most hated royal Mr polical incorrect did ,so I and a few others with me let him have the usual murdering old [b*****d] routine ,Do you know that bloke must be mutton jeff as he never batted an eyelid ,God I destest that man. Yesterday I proudly marched from trafalgar square to downing street with some family members of Jean Charles De menezes and other people that have lost family members to police brutality while in custody not a huge gathering about 200 or so but we made a point . I do get quite pissed off that the barriers go up at the end of downing street though ,Its like demonstrating isnt what it was eh mate . I wish george Galloway would stand for being a party leader , That man is the top of the political tree eh mate ,Still we live in hope old friend ,regards kevin <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/top.gif" alt="" />
