Great game last night, end to end football, with plenty of attacking from both sides, and both sides trying to play the ball on the floor. Leverstock IMO were better then when they beat us 4-2 at their place. They took the lead, rather against the run of play, a defensive mix up, which was more like a comedey of errors, gifting them the lead at HT.

 

Second half Edgware played some controlled passing football, and finally got the break through when we won a penalty, which was put away. Extra time looked on the cards, but a wonderful move by young Phil Kane, late in the game, on the left flank taking on several players, before finally slotting the ball home for the winner.

 

That is our 9th straight win in all comps, and was leverstocks first defeat this seaaon in SSML comps, same as when we put paid to Harefield record.

Yes, why not <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />, huge game, but if you look at it Horace, its a MUST WIN for you, we have THREE games in hand over you now, the SSML new league table has been adjusted, check the bulleten they send out, and if we beat you, we go 3pts clear with THREE games in hand!

 

As long as we dont lose, not saying a draw would do, as we have not drawn any games, but I dont see why on present form we cant make it a nice round figure on Saturday.

If your defenders can cope with Cooper/Redford you should be alright Gavin,
but then again no one has coped with them so far <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Ahem...we coped with them in the FA vase game when we won 3-0 ( I take they were both playing?)

 

Can Hertford cope with Adam Wallace / Phil Kane / Steve Brady / and new signing Gavin Hart from Northwood?

 

On paper it should be a thrilling game, lets hope its a good advert for the SSML

boasting? just telling it like it is krooner. I thought LG played well and had it not been for Rob Blackburnes acrobatic save they would have won the game. Overall though we WERE the better side and our second half possesion told in the end.

Not boasting but results dont lie, thats NINE wins in all comps on the spin now, if thats not something to shout about then I dont know what is

Sure we could go and lose on Satuday, but as I said, for Hertford its a MUST win, otherwise we will be ahead by 3 pts with 3 games in hand.

gav, u deserve to boast at the minute, edgeware are on a great run, but u r setting urself up to have egg on ur face!!

Edgware aint had a dip in form yet and trust me it will happen in this league, so many games plus teams start to work out wat ur about as u are new to this league!!

But enjoy it while u can...
