To Last Years Ryman Boys!

Recommended Posts

You could be right Blue, most of the ryman sides had played at a higher point in time and therefore have more experience of running clubs to a higher level. I think most of the CCL side are run well and are raising their standards on and off the pitch to match the Ryman teams

I think you are right Teffers and that goes for the Div 1 clubs as well. I think standards off the pitch are slowly getting raised but there are some notable exceptions to that.

It's tight in the Kent League this year. Compares favourably with the top of the Ryman 2 last year though. Would imagine that the top 5 or 6 could cope quite well if the Ryman 2 was still in existance.

Attendances have been up this year for Croydon and a couple of teams play in front of averages 150+ and one other has over 250+.

After a shocking start (three defeats out of the first four games including a shocking defeat in the FAC to Sandhurst), resulting in a change of gaffer, things have picked up and with a bit of luck we'd be in 2nd or 3rd place in the league. We win our game in hand we go 5th.

And, we're in the 2nd round of the FAV (v Sidley Utd) after beating two Sussex county sides.

Croydons a nice place to go to. Great transport system going around there. We went up by train to Norwood and right outside the station is Tram Station and after a few stops you end up at the Arena stop just beside the ground. Thoroughly enjoyed the day, nice people at the club.

Good luck for the rest of the season.
