Was the ball over the line for your forth goal? From where I was our player didn't even look over the line let alone the ball. But I think it was the fact your players or bench didn't celebrate or appeal that was the telling factor for me.

Players on the bench did not obviousley have the best view and neither did I on the edge of the area!!

 

We spoke about it afterwards and three of our lads were adament that the ball was over the line by a good foot or two!

 

Luckily It was Virtually the last kick off the game anyway though and it was already 3-2!

Fair enough I'll accept that. How the linesman gave it though from his positioning was the problem! But as you say it was academic in the end.

I agree...and luckily it was academic!

 

The thing is with situations like that, if you are on the receiving end of the decision you dispute it, however if you are awarded the decision you think the lino is the best thing since sliced bread! A La 1966 (I love Russians)!

 

In the match, I can think of half a dozen occasions when the ref over-ruled the two lino`s!

I didn't think they were the best, not the worse but certainly not good. The ref thinks he's a bit of a lad but he should concentrate more on being a ref than trying to look good. I thought the young linesman was very poor.

Yeah, the ref was not the best....he tried to be everyones mate and was a little [****!!****] sure of himself! Mind you, at least you could chat with him without worrying about a booking!

 

Older Lino is a Senior League Veteran and aint too bad however the youn lad was shocking!

 

I was`nt too keen on how the ref new the names of all the Manor players and apologised to them personally after he gave decisions against them! Mind you, it makes a change the ref not knowing a me ha ha!

Well the funny thing is he knows alot of our players but when he refs us its like he is trying to be too much for the other side. That young Lino is shocking. We have had him afew times and he's crap. The older guy is usually ok. He even apologised to me a few weeks back for his shocking performance against Brentwood. That ref has given 5 penalties against us in 3 games. Fair enough the one Saturday was and 2 of the others were but he gave one for a tackle where our player ended up with a broken leg! Then he turns down blatent penalties for us. Maybe he thinks because he knows us he'll be accused of being bias for us. That old lino said he should have gien us at least two if not 3 penalties in one game where he gave two against us.

 

But you're right he rates himself a bit much. But he didn't send off our player for that punch! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

 

I think he tries to let the physical side of the game go but then lets bad tackles go unpunished!

Yeah, I appreciate he could try to let in flow but then If you end up booked for a bit of back chat whilst punches are getting thrown you would feel a little hard done by!

 

The bias thing is like the old school days...I remember our PE teacher used to blatantly favour the opposition to not appear biased in our favour!

 

Ricky DeFreitas ended up with a nice gash on his leg...Punishment for leaving ay ha ha! Bet he was questioning himself when your lot were 2 up after 4 minutes!

Yeah I thought it was a great tackle on Ricky. I peered over when we were 2-0 up and he looked shocked like everyone else!

Shame we gave you a soft penalty because I think without that foothold we would have gone on to win. But you done well to come back and win.

EMFC-Thought that we pretty much dominated the match despite the poor start! (Opening 20 Minutes)! Ecspecially the 2nd Half.

 

Yet again we missed a lot of chances however at least they are being created!!

Its funny how different people see the game. I thought we played you off the park for 20-25mins. You started to dominate but in all honesty our keeper hasn't made a save and you scored from 4 set pieces. But thats just my opinion and it doesn't matter anyway because you won!
