For all supporters travelling to Leyton

I am pleased to announce that the trip to Leyton will be a Funny Hat Day, with a halloween theme! As you may well know the Leyton game will also mark the 110th birthday of Margate Football Club. I hope everyone travelling to Leyton will participate and make this a truely great day for the club.

Going by train and tube so will be walking from Walthamstow Central. As it is about a mile walk by the time I get to the ground I should be puffing. (I don't do blow jo......best leave that sentance there....)

Straight into Victoria then the Victoria line tube.

 

As I travel to London everyday just thought I would use my travelcard.......plus I then dont mix with the riff raff on the supporters coach (thought I would add that before anyone else reminds me of a previous slip of the tongue)

In case anyone is interested the best way is thus. Leyton FC is in a railway desert but Walthamstow Central is seriously the long way round.

Alight London Bridge, Northern Line to Bank then Central Line to Leyton.

Come out of Leyton station turn right and cross road. (Don't forget to look both ways!).

Take third left (Ruckholt Road) then second right (Oliver Road).

This takes you right past the Orient's ground.

Keep going for another 10 mins or so until you reach the cross roads with Lea Bridge Road.

Turn left and the ground is just down on your left.

Seriously Walthamstow Central will take you for ever and a day....

There used to be a mini-cab office right outside Leyton station, so that may be a better option.

As I said...going via Walthamstow Central will take forever and a day...
