what a disgrace !!!

I wouldn't say that!

Jarvis - Injured and should not have been playing
Wilkinson - Injured and should not have been playing

We were not at the races today. It's really not fair on Wilko to be forced to play 70 minutes when injured. I know we have 7 players injured or suspended but we should be looking to bring in some more loan players. We had West(unfit), Marsh (not a footballer) and Woody (not ready to play) on the bench today, we were never going to win.

With Dell, Jarvo and Wilko now injured and Telemaque, Wallace and Terry suspended next week, the Boreham Wood game should be interesting. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> Radders, bring your boots!

Although it was only a crumb of comfort, nobody on here has yet mentioned that Mark Bartley had another good game on the right wing and was our best player by a long way. It looks as though we now know his best position and he may yet prove more than a benchwarmer. The 5 minutes in the second half when we did look remotely threatening was when we put a big man up front. That big man was an injured centre back but it still made a difference. It also allowed Terry Davies to play in midfield, where he looks a far better player. Our style of play means that he is anonynmous up front. I did not see the Ashford game, the last one without a target man, but comments on here seem to suggest that it was similar to yesterday. At least we now only have one game before November 11th, plenty of time to recruit more players / allow some of our injuries to heal.

Dom it was bloody awful. Well done to Leighton who played extremely well but we were dreadful. Notable mentions to Miller for scoring his goal and Mark Bartley who didn't stop working his socks off, and to Radders and Gary who stayed out in the monsoon. Hopefully we'll be back to the performance of Ramsgate, Ricay and Staines in the league on Saturday at Boreham Wood, but without the forwards I think we can be in trouble

i couldnt be at the game (thanks for the update marcus) but was gutted to hear about the result. but from what marcus had said at half time (looking very tired) i could understand why it wasnt going our way, all the players worked their socks off against 'ricay and staines and some kind of fitness problem was going to come along eventually. i think this is probably the best game for it to happen in though.

now we can focus on the league situation next week hopefully we can field a decent team despite the injuries against boreham wood next week. the break after it will also be good for us fingers crossed

up the rebels.

Blessing in disguise to go out of the cups, unfortunately picked up more injuries doing so.

With such a small squad we need to concentrate on survival in the league.

Imagine if we scraped a draw and we had to replay on Tuesday and then play on Saturday.

As it is I have serious doubts if we can scrape together 11 fit players for Saturday.
