Let's get Quizzical!

Calling all those who have promised to find seven friends and make up a table for the quiz. It's nearly upon us and it is time to pay either myself or Eric. This can be done at next Saturday's game against Wivenhoe. If you do not find me, then I will find you!!

 

If you know that someone on your table wants a 'veggie' meal, then let me know when you pay me.

 

Also, it has come to the attention of the 'committee' that someone is hiding the winning shield! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> We want it back well in advance of the quiz night or we will send the boys round!

Friday 10 November

7.45pm for an 8.00pm prompt start.

We need to be completely finished and cleared away by 11.00pm to respect the needs of the local community.

£40.00 per table

16 tables already requested

St Peter's and St Paul's Church Hall in Ordnance Road/Chesterfield Road.

Licenced Bar

Light supper

 

If you cannot raise a table of 8, and there are say two of you, then let us know and we will try and arrange for you to make up a table with someone else.

Good to report that the Championship shield has been located and will be delivered back to the organising committee.

As of yesterday we had 11 confirmed and paid for tables with 3 more on their way. Tremendous support for next Friday's quiz.

 

Modern technology used yesterday with a call from a mobile phone from Brimmo to Huddersfield to find out who someone was who wanted to come to the quiz. People travel from far and wide to support the Town!

 

Just to remind all who are coming that it starts at 8.00pm on the dot as we have to be out by 11.00pm due to the church hall being surrounded by houses.

 

For those who do not know, you cannot turn right into Chesterfield Road coming down Ordance Road. Please check your A - Z.

I think we have to vacate by 11.00pm cos the flats on the Church Site have OAP's living in them, so its out of respect for them so please rememeber that when you are leaving please.

As we have only recently received it back from an anonymous supporter, I am afraid to say it will not have been engraved. However, it will be presented to the eventual winners on Friday and returned immediately so that it can be engraved twice.

I can't think of what to call my winning table yet!
